Hi, sorry to start a new post. We are planning our first WDW trip for October 2015 for our daughters 8th Birthday. We are staying on site at Saratoga Springs for 12 nights and are planning on attending the Halloween Party and Cirque du Soleil.

With the Halloween Party, we where hoping to dress up but chickened out during the DLP party last year  If we booked a meal in the Magic Kingdom for just before the party starts. Will they allow us in if we are in costumes?

I have read Garden Grocer is a great option for shopping, I have worked out an estimated time we should arrive taking into account visa checks etc. If I book my delievery and it arrives before we do, will frozen/fridge items be ok? We have food allergies/vegi etc between us, so its important I can cover everyone.

Sorry one last question. I spoke to a lovely lady at disney and she said I can book the Cirque tickets direct on the phone. But forgot to ask, can I request specific seats or is it just what ever they allocate?

Thanks everyone in advance, this site is great :)

My birthday is October 31st. We go to Disney just about every September and always dress up for the MNSSHP. Not everybody does but most of the crown is dressed up. It was so fun to see whole families dress with a theme. Yes you can were your costume to dinner. Here is a picture from September 2014. The MNSSHP is an extra ticket not covered by your regular park admission. So we plan to be there on the first day we arrive at Disney and do not buy a park admission ticket that day. Part of the day is wasted from travel and check in anyhow. They let you into the park at 4pm with your MNSSHP ticket. So we get reservation at BOG right after 4pm and them enjoy the rest of the night. Last year we actually went twice to the MNSSHP and on top of the party ticket we paid for the Villains dessert party. It had special seating right if front of the castle for the parade and fire works and then dessert with the Villains in the dinning room used for Cinderella royal table. It cost a lot but it is my birthday.

In the Parks
Yes
Yes you can wear costumes. You can gain admission to MNSSHP using the hard ticket beginning at 4pm, you will need to get your party wrist bands before 7PM when the park closes to day guests.

Garden Grocers has a large amount of information available on their website (also a live chat feature) to answer your questions.

The Cirque tickets are sold by category.

I do hope they have the Villains Sinister Soiree this year, last year was a blast.

I have heard of others using amazon prime to deliver food and it may be slightly less expensive and have a wider selection. We are going tin October too! I love it there that time of year!

It is no problem if your groceries arrive before you do. I have used Garden Grocer for my past three trips. On two of the three trips, the groceries beat us to the resort. Bell Services will keep your cold items cold until you arrive. When you get to the hotel, all you have to do is call down to Bell Services, and they will bring your items up to the room.

For those who have been what do you think of this idea. Morning at blizzard Beach. Then afternoon nap/rest. Then MNSSHP that night? Keep in mind I will be traveling with twin 5 year olds. Is that too much?

They were letting people in from 4pm when we were there in 2013. Many were in costume. If you are planning to be in the park before 4pm, as has been said, you need to collect your wristband. From 7pm CMs sweep the park escorting wristbandless guests to the exit. My boys dressed up as mario and luigi, I wore glow bands - do I get points for that?! One of the best parts of the party is seeing other people's costumes, some were utterly amazing. Remember to factor in weather when choosing a costume. Ours were very lightweight for the florida temps, even at night.

Tricky one as it depends how well they cope with late nights and if they will go to sleep in the afternoon. My youngest was 6 when we went and we knew he wouldn't nap in the day so we planned for a long lie the next day. We headed to AK then back to hotel mid afternoon to change into costume, before heading to MK for a 5pm reservation at Liberty Tree Tavern (sooo good). He lasted well till the party ended-the excitement of collecting lots of candy, I think. He fell asleep on the bus to Caribbean Beach and had to be carried to bed. I made reservations for a late brunch at the Ohana breakfast at the Poly (11am) for the next day so we could catch up on sleep. Meeting Stitch had him raring to go for an afternoon at Typhoon Lagoon. The waterpark was less fast paced (for us) than a day at a park and then he had an early night while my husband took his older brother to the pool for a while.
