Hall of Presidents question

I have a question about the Hall of Presidents attraction. For the longest time, Abraham Lincoln was the speaker. Then, and I don't know what year this was, Bill Clinton became the speaker. Will he be the speaker from now on or will it be the current Pres ? Or will they go back to Abraham Lincoln ? Does anyone know who the current speaker is now ?

1st of all welcome to the boards! fyi this will probally be moved to general disscussion. I will answer your question. George W. Bush was added. Lincoln does talk and Bush does as well, Bush actually did the voice for the show. The intro goes the same of all the presidents. Clinton did speak during the time he was in office, but does not anymore. hope that answers your question. the rest of the show (the movie, and ending) remained the same.

Actually, the narrator of the film has now changed. It was Maya Angelou for some time. Now it is someone else. (Don't know who it is.) So, there was also something else changed. :)

It's nostalgic. If you don't like history, it's not a great attraction for you. . . but there are DEFINITE WDW classic vibes, especially in the music. . . and it's very patriotic. :)

I completely agree - I have always loved this attraction even if it is quite educational.

Welcome, RodNichols!

We love these sorts of questions here!
As Chape said above, don`t be offended if this topic gets moved to the General Discussion forum. Thats generally where posts like this are.
The Hall of Presidents, if I recall, actually used to have Lincoln narrate the entire show before its rehab, which was in late 1993.

Still love this show, mostly because of is "amazement" factor. Nearly everyone I know who saw this show as a child was left with a huge impact.

I just went with a family with six-year-old twin girls. The father wanted to take his daughters to the attraction that he remembered so well, and we are talking about a normally gruff action-adventure type man. His wife had never been to WDW. All enjoyed the show, and the girls thought it was neat to see all the presidents there in lifelike participation.

It still has the power to amaze.

And I still like the way that they pay such attention to detail (as when the presidents all turn to look at whoever's name is being called, and as they are ALL dressed in meticulously researched period dress and hair).

Worth seeing by every generation.

My only complaint this trip was that there was no postcard to buy. My friend wanted one, and I had remembered one being available for years in the giftshop. None was available, nor made anymore, they said.

And this was the same around WDW. Attraction postcards (even Pirates and Haunted Mansion!) were all gone. Just the same generic ones in ALL gift shops. Stupid. (Of course! Why buy various unique postcards that have special memories for individual friends, when you can buy twelve of the same thing and send them to your friends and make them feel "special"!? Argghhh!)

Thing I find funny about the last rehab when Dubya was installed, is that they just plonked his head onto the old Clinton body

I can't back it up with where I read it, but I do recal the article saying that rather than build a new AA body they took the Clinton one and reprogramed it with the Dubya head. It makes sense to me - the reason the Dubya AA stands in the same place as the Clinton AA is due to it being the old Clinton AA body.

If they really put President George W. Bush's head on Clinton's body then whose body is Clinton's head on???
They would have made a new sitting body for Clinton that has limited movement. A lot cheaper than building a new fully articulate one for Dubya.
