haircuts

I was looking at some of the pictures in one of the threads and there was one where father and son had gotten haircuts/dos on Main Street.

Does anyone know if we have to reserve a slot to get this done? Also where on Main St is this?

My son would love to get Mickeys in his hair!!!

Thanks!

The Barber shop is to the left as you enter the Magic Kingdom- near the fire house- unless they moved it.
I don't think they use appointments.

The first time I walked in there, several years ago, I expected to see animated figures but was surprised when they were real people.

Good luck.

The barber shop is walk in only and is located on the left side of Main Street just to the right of the firehouse and to the left of the Emporium. You will want to get there early as they tend to get quite busy. The barber shop also closes before MK does (5:00 PM I believe) so is is best to do it before it gets to late.

We go every trip to the barbershop we always try to see michal (yes he spells it weird told us it was given to him that way when he was adopted) he cuts mine and my sons hair ,and as part of our ritual we always get painted and pixie dusted , it is a great memorie that my son and I always share ..It is located next to the fire barn near city hall....
Tell them you read about them here we gave them the web sites address in February when we were there......:sohappy:

The Main Street barber shop is great. I got my hair cut to "regulation length" there about once a month. I usually timed it so that I'd be leaving the barber shop at just about the time Disney Dreams Come True started.

I got my haircut there once and it was great! The barber painted a Mickey in with pixie dust. It was such a fun experience. My son also got his hari cut there that day. And although my 2 daughters didn't get haircuts, they still got "pixie dusted" for no extra charge. At the time I went (about 3 years ago), they didn't accept credit cards so be sure to have cash if that hasn't changed.

Hey, Paul - they do take credit cards. DS got his hair cut and colored (blue gel) there last April when we went. It was great and the barbers are awesome - I recommend it to anyone. Also, the shop opened later than the park did that day - I think nine, but I'm not sure. And, finally, it is walk in only!

I thought that it was odd that they didn't take credit cards when I was there. Nice to see they made that change. Thanks for the info. And after bringing this topic up, and all the happy memories associated with it, I think I'll have to get another haircut there!:animwink:

We finally stopped in on our last trip in October. My son who was 8 at the time loved it. You just stop in and it is first come first serve. There were a few people a head of us, but worth the wait. My son jokes that we have to go back to Disney he needs a haircut. I highly recommend it.
