San Angel, home of the wobbly tables. La Hacienda overall (but Parrillada del Mar is a pale shadow of what it once was). Service is excellent.

San Angel has the type of Mexican food that is a step above Taco Bell. However, the atmosphere is fantastic, The other one has much better food. The atmosphere is fine, I guess, but I miss the San Angel atmosphere every time I go there.

La Hacienda gets my vote inside the parks but outside you can find so many better options at the Coronado Springs Resort specifically Three Bridges.

I actually like both but for different reasons. I think the food is great at both. Hacienda is a little bit more true Mexican. But you can’t beat the atmosphere at San Angel and it’s one of the first restaurants I visited. So it’s got the nostalgia aspect. But Hacienda has some decent menu choices plus you get the view of the show over the lake. I usually eat at both during my trip

My wife wants to eat San Angel and that is on our to-do list for our upcoming trip. The ambiance should be great. The smells from the restaurant always make me hungry but we never ate there in the past.

Don’t listen to the naysayers. It’s a popular restaurant to bash ala Coral Reef Tony’s, etcc Most giving their jaded opinions probably haven’t been there in a long time. San Angel’s food is very good. It’s Mexican not Texmex which is what most of the negative reviewers are apparently looking for. I love Mexican food and I can’t have a complete visit without it. Usually on my last night

I’ve actually had some pretty good meals there. I visit every trip as it’s become a tradition. It can be hit or miss as most restaurants are. I’ve actually had some very good authentic Mexican dishes several times.
