Yeah, apple pies, apple fritters, apple donuts...and the frozen slushie apple cider is amazing. My sugar numbers are going up just thinking about it.

Habits you've developed when you visit the parks

MK is always the first park.
Epcot is always the last park so the holiday finishes with Illuminations.
We don't always make rope drop, but we arrive in the morning and don't leave the park until closing.
Me and my sister always grab a bottle of Grape Fanta from a vending machine at the TTC after leaving the park after closing.

Epcot is always the first and last park of our trip.
The last day of our trip I always go to Japan and Pick a Pearl.
In MK, Pirates is always the first ride.
IN COP we always sit on the first row.
In Monsters Inc., we always sit on the last row.
In AK we ride the Safari first, followed by Dinosaur.

For MK:
- Dumbo is always the first ride, as it was our "first ride" when we were kids.
- Peter Pan is an immediate second.
- Ride the Haunted Mansion until I get Ezra as my hitchhiking ghost, no matter how many times it takes.
- We videotape ourselves on the Mad Tea Party by putting an iPhone in the center and letting it record as we spin.
- Visit Cosmic Rays to see Sonny Eclipse.
For DHS:
- While I refer to it as DHS here on the site, my family always has and will call it MGM, regardless of whatever they rename it.
- Trick my mother on to RnRC. She is not a coaster person, but somehow we always manage to convince her that this one doesn't go upside-down and is super tame. We are slightly evil children.
- Eat at Sci-Fi Drive In.
For Epcot:
- Must visit the Japan pavilion.
- Must visit Figment (although the ride itself is a sad, sad thing)
- Must eat at the Rose & Crown
- Must always visit Club Cool and remind ourselves just how terrible Beverly is.
In General:
- Where there are line splits, we always stay to the left.
- Must have a Mickey bar, Dole Whip, and a cronut.
- Must always pick up at least one pin (myself) and one Vinylmation (my sister)

Reading this, I'm just incredibly grateful that I've been able to go enough times to have what I consider to be "habits" - many have already been listed, and I've picked up a few for our next trip (64 days!!)

Since we come from Hawaii, we arrive late afternoon after a red-eye to the west coast and then cross country flight, and are tired. But, Disney magic beckons so we have a tradition/habit of using that first (tired) evening to ride the monorails. We take the Epcot line when it is dark- Epcot/WS is beautiful at night. We also do the Resort line circuit, stopping at each resort. We usually eat at GF Cafe because we enjoy relaxing in the lobby, listening to the live music. We time our reservations so we can watch the fireworks afterwards from the boat dock- our special first day treat!
Otherwise, we always eat at Cosmic Rays at night, Harbor House during the day, and stay for the Goodnight Kiss.

What a great sounding arrival, I'm quite jealous. Coming from the UK we have a long trip to get to Orlando, many times coming via other States where we change aircraft. As such and with our body clocks 5 hours ahead of yours, when we arrive at our place it's usually around 1am to us (8pm your time) so we've been up and travelling for up to 18 hours. We have no real option other than hitting the sheets when we arrive, but we're always up at the crack of dawn the following day and straight to the Studios for opening.

It's funny reading this thread... I wouldn't have pegged it beforehand, but reading everyone else's responses made me realize I don't have any traditions! The closest thing I think I have is I go to Club Cool almost every time I go to Epcot, but that's because of free pop. I don't have any particular way to start or end the trip, no rides to ride first or last, no restaurants I always eat at at a specific time. I got nothin'. Uh... my tradition is to always bring my family with me?

Don't worry! There's something to be said for being a free spirit and not tied to tradition.
I think DH and I need to change up our habit so we'll see new things at different times.

First ride - Jungle Cruise. Every time.
Other than that. We are pretty free spirits. We just wander to our heart's content. My seven year old tends to dictate what rides we go on and what order, and that is fine with us. We love that she shares our love of Disney. If you ask her, her tradition is to ride Space, Splash and Thunder Mountains every single time. She tends to save Space Mountain as her last ride of the night.

I always do MK last, save the best for last. Even though Epcot is my favorite park... ??
I always get margaritas at the Norway pavilion kiosk I find they are better then the ones in Mexico.
I buy a different Mickey Ears hat at the Magic Kingdom each time. I always start MK by going through Adventure Land, although I don't know why.

I really applaud this idea. The parks themselves while crowded and full of some people melting down can be such a relaxing thing to just stroll or sit taking it all in! Due to my back and neck issues I find myself sitting/waiting with one of the smaller children while my wife takes the bigger kids on thrill rides. While I do this I often find myself almost having that feeling when on a beach watching and listening to the tide. LOL crazy but true!

While at MK I must sit and take a picture with the Partner Statues. Roy First then Walt (Does anyone know the meaning of the Mark on Walt's Tie?)
Before going to Walt and after Roy we skip to the other side of Main Street entrance and sit with the Goofy Statue (Does anyone remember when this statue used to Talk?!)
Off to Tomorrowland and we follow the park in a counter clockwise direction until finished.
