Hi Folks, after a brief :lookaroun absence, my video are back online.

There still on my .mac account, but ive now redesigned the site using iWeb.

Basically that means theres some new features and some other stuff for you to see.

Not all my videos are online yet, but im working on it.

For now I have Wishes and Hallowishes up, adding more as we speak.

Ive also got some stuff planned for the future not that I have iWeb, but more on that later.

For now Enjoy!

And let me know what you all think.

hi ..

nice .. videos  .. but why did you encode them with black bars .. a widescreen aspect would be better .. and save some space :)

ahh and one thing .. there is a media section on this forum where video posts should be made .. somehow when a video is posted with the slightest notice of disney-central .. it's moved there .. but most "hey I have a video page" post are allowed in the gereal forum :veryconfu

Quicktime

Not to sure about the borders.

I use quicktime and they are all encoded for iPod, so i think it added the boarders automatically.

Sorry im not the most thecnically minded when it comes to encoding. I just edit away. I belive its called letterboxing, it alows non widescreen TV's to show the full image, and widescreens to show the full image.

I just think its the most universal way of encoding videos out there, everyone can watch them on their TV's with any issues.

But thats only relevent if your watching them on a TV via a DVD I guess.

But like i said sorry i dont know how to re-encode them without the borders for my website, but then the videos on my site are encoded for iPod, so they would need boaders to been seen in the correct aspect ratio.

iPod

The Original Files are full DV (pal) I then convert them to iPod Video in iTunes (.m4v). Sorry as i stated im not to hot on the whole encoding thing all i know is that the files i post online are taken from my original DV files, which have been converted into iPod files using .h264 to ensure that they are as small as possible, yet still high qualiy.

I did have all my videos on my iPod video (untill I stepped on it atleast)

I belive iWeb converts them again to get them onto the web, but im not 100% Sure.

Sorry I love editing, and understand professional editing alot (I work in TV), but internet codecs are not my department, I just create the original files sorry!

Great video's--no complaints here!!

One question though, could I download them to my ipod, and if so, how do I go about it? Do I need quicktime pro?
Thanks again for the video's, I really enjoyed them!

if you encode them with a widescreen aspect ,, the black bars are added by your playback software when it disneplays the video on a 4:3 device .. trust me

just look at the trailers at apple.com they are all encoded without the black bars :)

So do you know how i do this in Quicktime, I have pro?

As for offering downloads, at the moment im not planning on offering downloads of the night shows or my main tours, but i plan on offering mini tours for download in the way of a video podcast, but thats a few weeks off yet.

I use sony vegas to encode my videos .. already tried mov encoding with sony vegas...and it was ok, the widerscreen aspect was correctly encoded. but I went with xvid or wmv it had better results ... at least for me

Thanks

Um well thanks folks, since ive put them back up (About three hours ago) Ive had over 150 hits. The problem with that is my bandwith limit for this two week period has been reached already.

I plan on upgrading soon, but need to check my finances first...

All i can say is i get 10gb bandwith every two weeks, renewed on the 1st and 16th. So sadly my vids are gonna be off till the 1st. What i may do is just post two vids at a time to help reduce the amount of traffic. But we shall see.

Anyway hope to have something new up intime for the 1st, as in something from Paris, but we shall see, and maybe the first video podcast. No promises, but we will see....

Untill then sorry about the bandwith folks...

Great, thanks!

Just to let you know, you have a typo on the first page, you have "Please not that I have Bandwidth Limits", when it should be "Please note". I don't want to come off as rude or anything, it's just that the rest of your site looks very nice, and very professional, and I wouldn't want it to be ruined for you by a typo
