Well, since this is the big topic right now, I thought you guys might appreciate hearing another voice on it. A guy I was on the CP with last year mass-mailed this out today.

To all,
"It was all started by a mouse."-Walt Disney
I wish Dear Mr. Eisner would also remember that Mickey Mouse was 'one man's dream.'
Walt Disney grew up in Missouri until age 24 or so. I attend the University of Missouri-Columbia, and I try to share as much as I can about Walt Disney with CPs who go to WDW from Mizzou. Walt grew up poor on a farm, and he dreamed lots of ideas and entertained himself because he had no money. The College Program is fun in part because we didn't get paid much therefore we found creative and innovative ways to entertain ourselves. (c: It's true, even if you brought lots of money with you from home, or maxed out your charge cards. Walt Disney created Mickey Mouse around the time his Kansas City animation company was bankrupt.
I think a man who is nearly the highest paid CEO in America and lives at an apartment in Manhattan, NY (miles away from his cast members, theme parks, movie studios, and guests) lacks creativity. I like politics and business, but I don't like "Washington politicians" and "Wall Street businesspersons." The great leaders like Lee Cockerell and Brad Rex visit and talk with their employees, constituents, and guests and let you take you picture with them or get autographs. I was at WDW for 5 months and never knew of Eisner visiting Orlando. I wonder how shareholders approve of this. Eisner has done good, but should value Roy Disney's concerns.
The Walt Disney Company is a large family of people consisting of shareholders, cast members, fans, little kids, us big kids who still believe in the magic of Disney. We miss Walt Disney. Friday, December 5 is his birthday. I have great respect for Walt's values and ideas.
Wishing a special Magical Day to Roy Disney!,
Chris Sander
