Guests of Resort Guests Parking at Hotel

I have a feeling this is going to be controversial... been here long enough to know! Haha

So... next week we'll be staying at POFQ. My cousin and her kids who live in Tampa will be visiting us in WDW for one day during our stay. We were hoping to use our hotel room as a "base" for the day, ie: meet there, make our plan for the day, head out to the park, come back in the afternoon to regroup (two kids under 5, so, regrouping is apparently necessary), then head back out to another park for the afternoon and early evening before they head back home to Tampa.

My question is, would the front desk give us a "day" parking pass for our family who is visiting so that we can use our hotel room as our "base" for the day? If not, my cousin has money, the $14 a day to park doesn't make a dent in her wallet, it's just more about the convenience of using our room as the base for the day. If that's not possible, whatever, like I said she'll just park at the TTC. Just wondering if anyone else had ever had a similar experience.

Thanks in advance for your input!

We have had guests visit us at our resort. They simply told the guard at the gate our name and room number, showed their ID and were allowed in to park with no problems.

Do you have a car? If not you will get a parking pass for the length of your stay. You could ask at check in for one. Our Orlando based cousin meets us often at our resorts for pool time. Not for an overnight stay; we don't have room and she has a bed close by. The resort make out better with this arrangement, she spends at the bar and food court and really doesn't get in the pool :)
Enjoy your trip

Yes, we're driving from New York, so we'll have our own car with us, so we'll have the pass in our car.

BTW, we much prefer driving! After a few loooong bus waits we went to only driving and we are always back I our room in under 15 mins, busy MK day perhaps 25. In our car everyone gets a set, quite and a cold water bottle out of the cooler...

Not sure then, she will most likely have to pay. But it is worth asking...
You might just to meet her in the park you all pick, meeting at the hotel is going to eat in to the park time. We have found that out too...

I don't think they'll even bother with it. If the security guard knows that they're visiting then they might just let them park there.

Yeah... I was thinking that if it was, say, the Contemporary, they'd be a lot more guarded about it since people DO try to park there to avoid the TTC parking fee. But at POFQ that's not really an issue.

Never had issue meet up with friends at the park several times a year. The way I see things is that I get free parking anyway with my AP. Plus when I go to meet up with Folks at the Poly, FWL or GF I valet my car. Needless to say drop a few bucks at a restaurant or bar meeting friends at their hotel so they are making money off of me.

My parents stayed at POFQ in November, and I drove up from Tampa a few of the days. All I did was offer my ID and tell the guard at the entrance I was going to see my parents who were staying at the resort. I think one time the guard looked at my ID, the other times they just let me in. Left my car parked in the lot closest to their building from early morning to late at night without issue. I'm sure your friend will have no problem.
