Guests @ Beach Club Villas?

Hi,

We are DVC members and will be at the Beach Club Villas this summer. My sister and her family will be staying somewhere in the area. I'd love to have them come over and join us at Stormalong Bay. Is there any issue with bringing guests in for an afternoon?

I may be wrong or things may have changed. But last time we were there Nov 08 everyone needed to show a room key, besides my daughter which was 2 at the time

As far as I can remember we all had to show our room key to get a wrist band which then allowed us to get towels but we didn't need to show our room keys to access the pool area. If they don't need towels you could always try!!! If there is a problem you could always use the quite swimming pools as nobody checks there (you could always take some towels from there).

The only legal way to do it would be to add them to your reservation. Say you had a 2BR booked (sleeps 8) but only have 4 in your family. You could add up to 4 members of your sisters family to your reservation, thus getting them the KTTW card they will need to get a wristband.

They do check for wristbands constantly, especially during busier times.

Yes- Stormalong Bay, being the attraction that it is, requires each entrant to be a registered guest of the hotel.

Considering that they will be with you - a guest of the Villas - you have a better shot at getting "lucky" and getting them in than someone who's not staying there at all trying to sneak in on their own.

The policy is that you have to be staying at Yacht or Beach Club to swim in Stormalong Bay. But of course, honesty is the best policy according to one of my former scout masters (coincidentally, under house arrest, but that's a story for another time ). When you arrive for your stay, you could ask if it would be OK for them to join you provided that you are there with them and they're not just going on their own without you. Certainly not promising they'll say yes, but at least then you'll know, there won't be a scene when they get there, and you can plan an afternoon doing something else if you need to.
