Was on the news when i went on break last night. A guest dropped their camera and then decided to hop out of the vehicle to retrieve it, and ended up going to the hospital. news said it was a sprained ankle or something. But while i was watching, who should walk in but a Disney security guard. She stated that it happened near the warthog section of the attraction and that the guest was intoxicated. anyone know anymore details, or if any of mine are incorrect?

Dont worry. If it actually happened it will be in the Orlando paper pronto....

Whats with the intoxicated people in Animal Kingdom:shrug: ? The last time I rode that was last year and there was 3 old drunk men sitting in front of us. It was kind of funny though.

On our last trip we were seated in the back row of the safari. While we were on the bridge over the croc/gator pit the man sitting next to me stood up and tried to take pictures. Our driver spotted him and asked him what he was thinking standing in a moving vehicle on a bumpy bridge over a bunch of gators. He told him he was the definition of a "tourist". I felt pretty embarasssed for the guy, but it's amazing the dumb things people do.

I guess it was only a matter of time. Those trucks are higher off the ground than it seems.

I guess the next thing we'll see is bars on the trucks.

That sounds like something that my safari driver friend would say to someone. He is very "anti-stupid." LOL! I'll have to ask him if he did it.

At least they didn't jump into the hippo pool.:dazzle:

Is there even a place to get an alchoholic beverage at AK?
Yes..as soon as you get into Africa there is a full bar situated outside. It is just to your left before you reach Tusker House..I apologize that the name slips me right now, but I believe it starts with a "K". I'm sure someone will be able to spit out the name in a soon to be posted response. It always seemed odd to me to have a full bar situated right there, however I have rarely ever seen people partaking in the festivities the bar has to offer.

:dazzle: I'd be more worried if he jumped out during the Hippo part cause they are probably the biggest threats to humans as far as the animals on KS go.

At what point do you think it is a good idea to jump off the jeep? How did he get back on? Were there any consequences for him other then the medical injuries?

At least the guest didn't drop his camera near the lions :slurp:

even if he did drop it near the lions their is a big gulley separating them from the ride vehicles, so he would not be at risk.

Well i guess the camera must have been worth some sort of money for a person to jump out when the tour guide says at the beginning, please hold onto your cameras and any other loose items, for the ride does get very bumpy. Also for your safety please remain seated at all times.

Stupid people.... Dee dee dee
