Anika Noni Rose, the voice of Princess Tiana in the Princess and the Frog, was doing a meet and greet today and Epcot, and I got my pic with her, and got her to autograph the Princess and the Frog soundtrack!!!!

I met her as well, and got my CD and a Princess Tiana Fortune Teller Card autographed. A friend gave me a last-millisecond heads-up, and I made it into line about three people before they closed it. I thought it was very classy of her to stay after her scheduled time in order to give everyone that was in line a chance to meet her. She seemed very nice and down to earth. She was also one heck of a Candlelight narrator--one of the best I've heard so far.

Awesome luck! :D

I am also curious if you knew about it or if it was a surprise. I, for one, did not know she would be out to meet guests. :)

It was not publicized at all. I'm not sure if there was any signage at the main entrance, but there was only a small sign announcing it near Heritage Manor. There was an e-mail sent out to some of the Epcot Cast Members about it, telling them to inform other CM's and Guests about it, and one of the recipients contacted me about it at the last second.

Thanks guys! Like I said, she was just as perfect, polite, adorable, and sweet as she could be. She was a class act. A real delight.

Actually, I found out about it about 3 hours store my plane landed in Orlando, and so I rushed like the dickens to get to Epcot and meet my friend! They passes out a limited number of wrist bands to ensured that a certain ammount of people got to meet her, and get their stuff signed. Like I said, youcould not imagine a more amazing young lady. What a doll.

I just met the fake Tiana and Naveen at MK about ten minutes ago, and they were just wonderful!! But meeting Anika, so far, has been the high point of the trip. :-)

There was a poster in the hallway of Cast Services at Epcot about the signing.

Since I actually have worked with her on Broadway, I can safely say I am in no way jealous. She's actually a very nice person, and she prefers to be recognized for her stage work.
