The sophomoric humor also felt forced and could have done without it.

There's only so much you can do with sophomoric humor and a PG-13 rating. Deadpool benefitted by having the R and an actor who could pull off that tone.

Seeing this again tonight (time #2) with a friend. Looking forward to it

In other GotG news, the sequel has now made more than the first film at the box office. I think it could get close to the $1B mark.

Alright, Guardians 2, round 2 thoughts

• Dave Bautista's laugh is incredibly infectious.
• While I still think that the Ravager stuff in the middle could have been cut down by a couple minutes, it didn't feel as tiring as it did the first time
• "I'm gonna make some weird $#*!" is the line that probably got the most laughter
• I still think that Kurt Russell was having the most fun out of everyone in the cast
• Can't wait for more Mantis

It was a 10:30 showing (so I am dead tired right now), so there weren't that many people in the theater. Maybe about 12-15? The friend who I saw it with had a great time and loved it.
