It's interesting that the VQ is going so much faster right now. The parks aren't supposed to be busier now so what's the explanation? It doesn't seem like they'd be giving out a smaller number of VQs.

It’s Presidents’ Day and Princess Marathon week.
It's not just this week, though -- it's been almost the entire year thus far. There have only been a handful of days where the afternoon VQ lasted more than 5-10 minutes. It used to last for hours most days.
Just looking back a year shows somewhat a difference.
Tuesday (2/21) through Friday (2/24) were in thr 5-15 mins range in 2023, but Wednesday (2/21) through Thursday (2/22) similar for 2024.

Not sure if it's just recency bias but I do feel like drops have been going quicker overall, whether if it's a slow period at the parks or not.

Seems like a couple of possibilities. As people are more familiar, they "get better" at the VQ game, making them "run out" more quickly.

Or Disney has reduced the number of VQ spots available to increase ILL sales. Without a standby line, that seems easy to manipulate - if there are 10,000 available rides per day, and the only way to ride is by securing a free VQ or pay for an ILL, Disney can just shift to fewer VQs and more ILLs to increase revenue.

Now if you'll excuse me, my tinfoil hat needs polishing.

I was actually wondering this too -- if they'd cut back on the free VQ spots in order to have more ILLs available.
