They want everyone who has a group to ride, especially day 1. Barring any disastrous downtime I think they'll try hard to call every group possible.I’m hoping because there’s 100 more boarding groups till mine

To be fair this attraction has a high capacityRemember when Disney made people-eating attractions and you just waited in a modest, fast-moving and entertaining, if lengthy, line after paying regular admission?

I'd have to scour the thread but off the top of my head I don't recall seeing a THRC.
Apologies everyone I actually miscalculated by mis counting train capacity, was trying to photograph , board train and contain my excitement partly blaming @wdwmagic cos I asked them if it's 24 and they said yeah, but I just forgot. Anyway. 2000/HR is realistic......2400/HR is still possible in the coming weeks.
To answer the question. Everest is oft quoted as 2000 but I believe that's theoretical, here's a good place to start for comparison
Wonder if they'll start calling the extended hours guests before park closing if they finish the 1pm groups. So if they are opening the virtual line again at 6 for for extended hours, does this mean people only have to be deluxe guests to be eligible or do they have to have a valid Epcot ticket and or park Hopper? I would hope you would need a park ressie too...but who knows.

You don’t have to be in the park and don’t need to have an Epcot reservation. I doubt the system will check for a valid ticket, it’ll be your responsibility to ensure you can enter the park. Just like when booking ILLs or G+ passes. So if they are opening the virtual line again at 6 for for extended hours, does this mean people only have to be deluxe guests to be eligible or do they have to have a valid Epcot ticket and or park Hopper? Scott Gustin confirmed this in a tweet. You are only limited to one VQ during regular park hours. You can try again at 6pm even if you have already been successful earlier in the day.You can do both
One I am less certain of is for the Deluxe After Hours 6pm VQ drop - if you got a VQ at 7am or 1 pm and are eligible for the extra hours can you also get one at 6pm or no?
I think you can, or at least how it read but not sure... Guess we will find out on Monday
You would thi k with their technology they would no who has a valid reservation for that day. Does it work like this for the morning ones too? I wonder how many wasted reservations their are for people just trying to see if they can get it but then there are no more reservations available if they do t have a reservation. You don’t have to be in the park and don’t need to have an Epcot reservation. It is roughly 20 - 30 mins once in the queue. How do you know what the wait time is once you enter the physical queue? And does it ever say when the ride is down?

I believe highest reached for WDW was low 200's, which was achieved during New Years 2020.Is this the highest # of boarding groups issued vs Rise & Rat?
Yea they really have! I spoke with a leader outside the attraction and she said their goal is to accommodate everyone, so hopefully whatever problems they’re having they can get rectified asapThe rate of BG's being called has slowed down a lot. 4 groups called in the past ~40 mins, so about 1 BG/10mins average.
There was also a 17 minute gap between groups 171 and 172 from 5:31 to 5:48pm – unsure if the ride went down during this time frame.
They just jumped to 196 so if the rumored final number of ~220 is correct, everyone should be able to get on before park close. The rate of BG's being called has slowed down a lot. 4 groups called in the past ~40 mins, so about 1 BG/10mins average.
