Strange that TRON is getting longer waits than Cosmic Rewind. I'm not exactly a big fan of Cosmic Rewind but it's certainly a better ride than TRON, and Magic Kingdom has even more to do than EPCOT.

That said, they're pretty close so it's probably meaningless. It's not like TRON is at 90 minutes and CR is at 45.

Also, I'm not sure why anyone thought it would get waits like Flight of Passage. There's a number of reasons that wasn't going to happen (barring the park being absolutely slammed with long waits everywhere).

MK is always more crowded than EPCOT.

Also what's the throughput of each ride?

I think CR's theoretical hourly capacity is several hundred higher than TRON, which would have an effect, but not necessarily a huge one -- people are still generally choosing whether to get in line based on the posted wait, not on how many people they think may be in line in front of them.

Still a factor though.

I think an interesting study would be on how virtual queues impact the mentality of a theme park guest, especially at Disney where people can be competitive and people feel like the *have* to do the popular thing, which makes them work to ensure they do it, which makes it more popular, etc.

Does just the fact something have a VQ trigger something so people feel they have to put in the effort to get one and then when they have one figure they will use it whatever the wait is, whereas if the same ride didn't have a VQ they wouldn't wait in the line?

I think I prefer tron but I’ve only ridden once on each and on 2 different trips.

Current wait for cosmic is 60 minutes and frozen is 145. So there’s that. Haha

I thought it would have higher waits at least today/for the near term as people would want to take advantage of it and try to get multiple rides in ... the fact there are the multiple songs can make it feel like something to achieve to get them all (or at least multiple one) ... but maybe the fact it has been open for 3 year snow so the people that care about such a thing likely have gotten all the songs at this point.

I love the launch to Tron, especially if in the front but after that, not a ton to it. Still a fun ride but I prefer Cosmic Rewind, just more "fun" to me and love the music

I think they are both good additions though

I honestly prefer TRON as well in spite of being able to acknowledge that it’s not necessarily as “fully featured”, as it were. I just find the ride experience way more pleasant.

I think that's a big part of it. It's already been open for three years. If it was brand new it probably would get longer waits for the first couple of months.

I expect it to be around 60 minutes most of the time, though. I'm sure it'll get higher at times, but I'd be very surprised to see it get 150 minute waits outside of extreme circumstances.
