I quoted the relevant posts from July 8-15, 2024.
The gist is that Fridays thru Mondays are the busiest (as expected). Monday is included due to EEH, which for some reason both regular VQ drops are faster on those days.
Tuesdays and Wednesdays on average have the longest drops, especially the afternoon 1pm drop.
I wouldn't fret too much over which day is your Epcot day during your trip. The VQ is really easy to get nowadays. Just set up your party beforehand and then have an atomic clock (time.gov) on another device and join immediately at xx:00:00. Press the button at the bottom repeatedly as this is both the refresh and join button, don't wait. Also recommend to reload the app a couple mins beforehand.
Our Epcot days are usually on the weekend and we usually have no issue getting a BG during the morning 7am drop, usually BG 30 or less. Add in the 1pm drop and great ride reliability, pretty much guaranteed to ride. Also they don't enforce return times too.
