Yeah you’re right. I suppose I’m slightly annoyed by the classic over-optimists, but the appropriate response isn’t to be overly pessimistic

I guess I'm usually optimistic about things in general. Last time I did UoE was 2015, And at that time I hadn't been back to WDW since 2001. My nostalgia glasses for UoE were coke-bottle thick, and I'm glad I rode it one last time. Sure I'd be happy if they restored/revamped/upgraded it, but I'm also a person who doesn't cling too closely to things in the past, and that's just in general, not necessarily about WDW. Full disclosure I am a big fan of GotG franchise, so it does have me excited, but I would be very dissapointed if it were a very short experience like Tron seems to be

Im not a big fan of short inside coasters like space mountain or tron. why cant disney build a cool outdoor story telling coaster like universal did with hagrids or the new dino coaster?

That said, it's incredibly obvious from the promenade of World Showcase. Way more than Soarin'. It's nowhere near as bad as images like this would suggest but unless you're legally blind, it'll be hard not to notice if you take a gander back towards Future World while across that pond.

Whether or not that ruins your experience is a different discussion but, yes, it's definitely noticeable.

My past experience of looking over from the showcase has been I don't notice the various buildings that everyone gets wound up about. The event tents over behind UK, some of the others other parks. I just don't see them and think "ruined view". I've never been bothered by stuff I see from outside the parks (not saying you are), I tend to be amazed at how stuff is hidden or camouflaged from INSIDE. Its like Everest. You drive by, run by, and there's this huge building sitting there. You run around to the other side and "so that's the building I saw from the parking lot?" Sometimes its kind of hard to believe.

If I get there and it bothers me I'll say so, no problem with that.
