My understanding is they don't take reservations but I'm not sure. Maybe someone else will know. We'll be taking advantage of the coupon on our first day too!

The Disney site doesn't make any mention of a reservation so its probably on a first come first serve basis. But hopefully someone confirm.

No reservations! Reason, it can only fly when winds both at ground level and also aloft allow it. The winds can change abruptly so there is no practical way to ensure a ride will go at any given time.

From Aerophile's site:

• Maximum capacity is affected by wind speeds. The balloon will not fly if winds exceed 22 mph or if there is a storm.

Aerophile owns and operates the balloon. Note not only does wind affect whether it flys but how many people can be accommodated on any given flight. It's impossible to fully guarantee a date or time.

Not really. If it's operating I've not seen much in the way of lines. You might have to wait for one ride length of about 10-12 minutes but it's often walk on.

Yep. Seems so. I'm hoping the views are worth my $20.

The views were worthwhile. I may never get into a hot air balloon so it is as close as I will be. It was difficult to take good pictures though through the safety net. I was a bit nervous too. It is a neat experience.
