I was on WDW 2 weeks ago and I had the opportunity of going to the Employees Store (I have a friend that works at Disney), for those who doesn’t know about this place, in this big warehouse store besides selling all kinds of things at incredible prices they also sell the things that are lost in the parks during the day, so you can find things even with the price tag still on!!! For example I bought a lost Pal Mickey brand new with its price tag still on in just $5.00!!! Well I spend about $100 in there and buy all my Christmas presents and I even have to send some stuff via cargo on the plane because I could not make it fit on my suitcases. I have read for years the Disney Fans sites and I have never heard about this place and now I know why they keep it a secret!!!

I've been there (friend is a CM).. it is a neat little store.. Huge warehouse, located at the Magic Kingdom CM parking lot.... Only CMs can get you in.. the store is not open to the public...

Well, who does he think he is keeping it a secret from? If there are two kinds of people on this board, CM's and non-CM's, and if those of us who are non-CM's can't get in this place, and if CM's probably know of this place and would be eligible to get in, who is he keeping it a secret from???

True....it's really not a secret because even if you know about it and you're not a CM, you can't get in anyway.

It's called Property Control & Cast Connection, its not really a secret. Any CM's are welcome to bring guests.

It's where Disney sells overstock, damaged and returned items, etc. to us.

(I must admit I found a talking jack sparrow doll there for $12 the other day.. score!)

It's called "Property Control" and it's not new. It used to be in a big parking lot in the back area by Disney U if I recall correctly, Most of the stuff was under tarps outside, but there was one indoor area that was three trailers put together. My cousin used to go there all the time when she worked at Disney. I remember her buying TV's that were from the Carribbean Beach, since during a rehab they replaced all the old ones.

Honestly, now that I think about it, you would be shocked how many CM's don't know about the place.

It is still in the parking lot. The tarps have been replaced with a warehouse.

They do have public sales coming up. I don't know how or where or when, but I was surprised to read that and see that.. I think anyone is welcome to those because they are not in cast areas.

A lot of times it really isn't that good of a deal... Cast Connection (the warehouse portion) is for out of season items and overstock or items from the previous year that gets rotated out.. the problem is on many (obviously not all) of the items we only get our regular %20 off... might as well just get it at the regular stores in the parks. But yes, they do have some really good deals, you just have to look.

Thank you for enlightening me. Sounds like you can get good deals. However, I am still with Captian Hook and TiggerRPh on this one...

But hey...if you have the access...why not. I wish I did.

I know that Universal has a tent sale every year that is open to the general public. I went two years ago and it was great, t-shirts and sweatshirts, etc. from all the different hard rock cafe's around the world, stuff from city walk shops and the parks. Most of the stuff was anywhere from $5-$20 which isn't bad at all.

When we visit in December I was hoping to meet up with a CM that was on my daughter's swim team to have lunch or dinner with her and maybe a trip to the store.

Okay, I've heard of both Cast Connection/Property Control and Company-D. What's the difference?

Company D is inside Team Disney and Disney U, they are small stores that sell CM exclusive merchandise (if you look on ebay, you'll see some of it). Property Control is excess or damaged merchandise, as well as items from the lost and found never claimed that guests lose. They also have items from when they rehab hotels, etc. You probably could have bought items there from the Poly when they were doing their rehab.

At Company D in the Team Disney Building do they have
a-polos that say Team Disney?
b-bus. related items like briefcases, pens, stationary etc?
c-ball caps that say Team Disney?

would love to score some of those things for my office:cool:
