What replacement scenes would you like to see put into The Great Movie Ride?

Ghostbusters - When the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man attacks the building with the Ghostbusters on the roof.

Titanic - The "I'm Flying" scene.

Batman - The scene where Batman breaks through the ceiling in the museum.

Jaws - The final scene where Roy Scheider is on the boat's mast with the rifle ready to take out the shark with the next shot.

The only problem is the movie has to be incorporated with MGM/Disney since they run the ride. They wouldn't want to promote Universal movies.

I think that if Disney does purchase MGM then they might change the ride to a whole Disney movie ride through. Where you start out with the early ones and then ride through to the newer movies. Then instead of being kidnapped by a gangster or cowboy you can be taken over by a villian.

I don't think that's necessarily true. In the closing part of the ride, where they have you in front of that screen showing movie clips from all time periods and decades, very few have anything to do with either Disney OR MGM. Not only that, but the ride itself has a section dealing with the movie Alien which is a 20th Century Fox film. Then, it includes a scene from Raiders of the Lost Ark, which is a Paramount film. So I wouldn't see there being a problem if they wanted to build the scenes I'd like to see.

Anyway, I definately wouldn't want to see the titanic scene in it. That film was awful, but I'm watching it on TV right now.

Unfortunately, I think the only one of the suggested scenes that would work is the Titanic scene. It's slowly becoming one of the classics that will make it a suitable addition to the GMR.

This the idea I like the least though. I think the Batman one would be awesome, but I have a feeling that Batman movies dont have an endearing enough appeal for it to last.

The other two ideas are great, but I can drive down the road and get the Ghostbusters autographs, and then walk over and ride a whole ride with a shark thingy. I would be too excited to have the same thing at two rival companies. That kinda defeats the point.

I just think that ride is great. If they want to have some fun, throw a Moulin Rouge thing into it. Think about it, the Windmill in the background... Ewan and Nicole inside the elephant, and dancing animatronics dancing around them to Fatboy Slim.

how about from Armaggadon ( spelling) and Con Air, these were great movies with a lot of action for those in need of something with action. The were also actually made by the disney company too.

Obviously, from the film's incredible critical and financial success, your opinion is part of the overwhelming minority that wouldn't even be heard.

It wouldn't defeat the point at all. The Ghostbusters aspect at Universal is a meet & greet. This would simply be one scene created with animatronics as part of a larger attraction. Same with Jaws. This would be a scene...not a ride.

Try this on for size....I hear people calling Disney-MGM Studios...just plain old "Studios"..... My theory is that Disney and MGM will part company....GMR will be closed.... Graumans Chinese fascade will be taken down..... the building will be enlarged, and the ride portion will become Disney Movies Only....And what a magical entrance the Apprentice's hat would make.... No I do not have any information that would substantiate this thought... only a thought.:veryconfu

the GB's are ONLY a meet and greet (stupid universal). the movie was made by columbia tristar (not Universal directly but i don't know how it works anyways so..). it would be cool to have the ending scene when they're crossing the streams right before the place blows up.:D GO GHOSTBUSTERS!

They could at least also add an actual scene from Star Wars, I mean if that wasn't an influential film, I don't know what is.

Titanic was unbelievable, it deserved all the praise it got!!!

I could definately see a "Titanic" scene in the GMR.

I would love to see a "Gladiator" scene(yes I know it wouldn't happen because it's Universal).

I can't really remember, but is there a "Citizen Kane" scene??? I don't think there is one. They could do a scene where you enter "Xanadu" and have him on his bed dying, with his famous last word, "rosebud."
