The COP won't be going. If it does, the current Walt Disney Company will be going against Walt's will. The COP was the only attraction Walt told his Imagineers to keep as long as his parks existed.

As for attendance, the COP only had, say, five or six people, in the morning hours..after 9/11. Of COURSE it would have little, it was in proportion to the parks!

Take a look at popkids FTP. There's a video in there from 9/9 with the theater PACKED.

So, why doesn't Disney just open it up for a week to try it, while they mark it on the map of WHAT IT IS (since the COP is very hidden!!) and it's *significance on Walt Disney World itself and 100 YOM*. Disney's put no effort in trying the COP on off seasons, or advertising this keystone to Disney itself. If they close the COP, this would be outright unjust and cruel.

Anyways, I don't think it will be open till Thanksgiving and then Christmas. :(

Never thought about that before. Good point grizzyhall. This gives me more hope than CoP will be going strong for years to go!

A packed theater at COP can be very misleading.

They typically only use every other, sometimes every 3rd theater.

This gives the audience the impression that there are more people watching the show than really are.

Same reason that shows Like County Bears, Tiki Room, and some of the theater shows at Epcot, will hol;d the start time, untill the theater is fairly full, when if it started on time, there would be plenty of empty seats.

Every time I have ridden the COP, I have looked for audience reaction. I have peered to the left, and right, and yes, there was audience on each voyage I've had...probably in mid-morning. The neat thing was, I have heard clapping from the theaters that lead to the Stage 6. It is always magical.

COP has been operating on full capacity every time I've been also in the seasonal runs.

Still, about 100 people per theater, every ten to five minutes seats hundreds an hour. In fact, it's been full capacity several days in the summer, staying open till ten at night, when scheduled to close at 5.

As for bears, the lines are always tremendous. It starts on time usually with almost full capacity within three minute of loading in the afternoons, and probably 3/4 capacity in the afternoons and evenings. It's always fun to tally the visitors, and CBJ still packs 'em in.

But seating isn't the most important thing. I have actually touched on the topic above.

Anyways, the COP has pleased guests. Sure, there are people who want it dead because of spacial issues. But we must realize that this attraction, still entertaining and crowded to guests who can find it, stands for Walt Disney World itself. Probably the most classic attraction ever, Disney would be going against the one who've they've been celebrating about...and ruining much the trips of millions.
