Gravity Falls?

I've seen threads here regarding what properties Disney should make rides/attractions out of. But I haven't seen one yet about Disney's excellent new animated show "Gravity Falls". In case some folks here haven't seen it, here's the rundown: it's about a set of twins, boy and girl, named Dipper and Mabel, who spend the summer with their "Gruncle" (Grand-Uncle) Stan in his souvenir/roadside attraction shop called "The Mystery Shack". The Shack has a collection of souvenirs and oddities (most of them fake) that Gruncle Stan sells to gullible tourists. BUT the Shack does have its secrets, and so do the spooky woods around it. Dipper and Mabel - who have a close-knit relationship that defies the usual "I hate my brother/sister" cartoon formula we've all seen much too often - discover strange creatures and acquire mystical objects and powers as the series goes on. I love this show; it's great for kids but easily entertains adults, and I think it'd be cool to insert it in some way in the parks. In fact, the Mystery Shack would readily fit in at DHS OR DAK - since most of the show's magical creatures come from its spooky pine woods. The show's a hit, too; it's doing better, ratings-wise, than Phineas and Ferb at present. Anyway, I'd like to see a Mystery Shack in DAK, complete with spooky woods, much more than that dippy Pandora. Just a thought...

Again you have to make an attraction work that's not reflecting on Animals...You got to change the name...I still stand By Disney's Adventure Kingdom as it would then allow them to change how they want to represent the park...

Can we go yet?

Gravity Falls is a great show. Love Grunkle Stan, he's perfect. I'm upset that they are moving it to Disney XD, looks like they don't want any cartoons on Disney Channel. Weird.

I could see a brief standing attraction like the Kim Possible one or the Agent P one but not a longstanding one. I guess it sorta depends how long Gravity Falls lasts...Phineas and Ferb is just now ending, but still.

THIS show admittedly skews much older. I THINK this is one of the reasons why Disney moved it to XD. The other being that Disney has little faith in their animated shows and would rather dump them all on their spinoff channel (Toon Disney, by another name) Sadly, Disney has a better understanding of milking a precedural tween dramedy for all it's worth. That said; I think it was actually the right move 'though I wish the show had a larger following regardless of which channel it's on. I freak'n LOVE this show! I encourage everyone to watch it!

I think: 7-18-21-14-3-12-5 8-1-19 1 20-23-9-14

No ideas for an attraction, but anything in the parks would be EPIC!

The new season will be on Disney channel starting august 1st. It will be on xd august 4th and will air on both station over the season.

Girls don't like cartoons? Yeah, no, not buying that. Anyway, Disney seems to be raiding Cartoon Network for talent, like Maxwell Atoms and more notably Craig McCracken and Lauren Faust, the latter having been responsible for The Powerpuff Girls.

I have never seen Gravity Falls, but according to what you guys have all said I feel a well themed M&G would work much better than a ride. These disney shows have such a short life span, usually around 5 years max, I would say. If a ride started construction at is exact moment, it probably would not be done until early to mid 2016. By that time, the show will have already had its prime run, and it would now be in the homestretch until it is taken off the air. Investing a ton of money into a ride that they know will only last about 3-4 years doesn't make sense. Now a well themed M&G in the Mystery Shack thing would, because it would not cost that much, it would likely bring in long lines, and they would make more money from a character experience than a ride since a ride is much more expensive to build.

Do I see anything happening with this franchise? No, not really. But if it was, that's why I think a M&G would work better.

I like Gravity falls also for a ride but the problem is that its a tv show that wont be popular for a super long time. I'd love to see a Disney Tv studio at HS but I don't think its gonna make it because its annoying to keep replacing the rides every 20 years or so

Maybe they can do a ride where Dipper and Mabel use the portal to go to other cartoons like the old Jimmy Neutron ride used to do

Any developments on this topic? Do they even sell Gravity Falls merch in the parks?

Not much but I did see GF costumes being sold for this year at Party City and the like. No Grunkle though. Must be popular enough to warrant Halloween costumes.

I wonder if a Mystery Shack tour at Fort Wilderness would work?
