So I was finally able to try this new "Grapple", a combination of a Fuji apple and concord grapes. I've read about it recently and people said it was pretty good, so I had my Publix supermarket order it.
Wife brings it home yesterday, tried it, tasted like a nice combo of a grape and apple, very heavy smell to it though (of grapes).
When I read the ingredients, it was: Fuji apple and articial flavor
WHAT?!?!?! Not a cross pollination of the fruits?
So I go on their website and here's the real kicker. All they do is put a Fuji apple into some water and grape flavoring, let it soak for 2 days, then put it in cold storage. TA-DA, your new product called a "Grapple" (pronounced Grape-L)
While it tasted good enough, at $1 per apple not worth it since all it's 'cache' went right out the window when I found out it was "artificial flavor"
