Graphics help

[Hobnail Boot]

I didn't know where else to ask for this, but I need some graphics help if anyone is willing. I'm trying to combine these two logos to make GA for Georgia, but I'm not really good at this. I would do my usual MS Paint hack job, but I'm getting this done as a tattoo so I want it to be good.

I tried using Paint since it's the only program I have, but when I overlap the logos a bit I guess some of the white comes with it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would ask @MonorailRed. She's pretty much an expert at Adobe Illustrator!

The only problem is that she's busy with a couple of competitions right now in the Imagineering section of the forum.

This is pretty much how I want it right here, just without the white areas in the G from when I put the A on it. Thanks for that one though, I like it, too.
