This is my first time staying at the Grand Floridian. I have stayed at the Beach Club and the Animal kingdom Lodge and people have told me that the Grand Floridian is better then both of them. Just wondering what some of you think about it:lol:

Well ive never stayed in a room there but i did go into the hotel itself to see the gingerbread house at christmas and its a amazing hotel just from the lobby and monorail levels. I loved it and if I had the money I would stay there or the Poly over any other hotel.

My wife and I have stayed at the GF four different times. Its biggest assets are the ambience of romance and the convenience of the monorail in going to the MK or epcot. I believe it is best staying there if you have a MK view room, otherwise I'm not sure it's worth the money. The Wilderness Lodge and the GF are our favorite resorts.

You will have a wonderful time. It is such a quick trip to the Magic Kingdom and back. You have always got a great view from wherever you are at the hotel. Be sure to eat a Narcoossee's one night, or just go pick up one of their almond-crusted cheesecakes.

The Grand Floridan Cafe is actually very nice for dinner since most people are out in the parks, it tends to be quieter. Don't forget to see the water pagent one night, just walk down to the dock by Narcoissee's

Make sure you go to 1900 Park Faire for breakfast!! It's in the GF on the first floor. Alice, Mad Hatter, Mary Poppins, Pooh, and Tigger are there. It's a buffet breakfast but it is delicious.... soooo.. go =)

As some one mentioned, make sure you catch the Water Pagent, I would recommend heading over the GF doc for it. There is a really nice walking path from the GP to the Polynesian which will take you by the Wedding Chappel. The quick 1 stop monorial ride to the Magic Kingdom (the 3 stop ride back is not so quick - but there is always the water route). Live music in the lobby. The view. etc....

Have a great time!

There's a reason it's considered the flagship hotel on the property.

It's got all the goodies you'll want.

Yes, it's definitely worth if it you are on the Seven Seas Lagoon side the hotel. There are fabulous restaurants. Aside from the ones mentioned already, there is Citranos (Sp?) and Victoria and Albert's and a fast food spot and a pool side snack bar. And 24 hour room service.
