We will be staying at the Grand Floridian Villas in March. Does anyone have any important information or tips you think we should know? Thanks in advance!

We are going to 1900 Park Fare for the breakfast buffet. Do they have photo pass photographers there?

No

When you first enter, there is a photographer who will take a picture of your party against their mural. You will be presented this picture during your meal and you can buy the picture (they definitely do this at dinner, we've never done breakfast).

During the meal, it's normal character dining. You will be visited by different characters and you take pics with your own camera. No photo pass person during the meal at all.

We stayed at the GFV the first week of December in a two bedroom standard view room and it was amazing. The room was beautiful and our "standard view" was nothing standard at all. We were on the 5th floor facing the new pool and the Grand Floridian. The room seemed to have more space then most of the other villas we have stayed at before. We split our stay between the GFV and BLT MK view, and it was almost disappointing leaving the GFV to go to BLT. The only problem we had with GFV was it was a long walk to get to the main house to catch the monorail and even a longer walk to get to the bus stop.

Did you happen to notice which walk is longer from the GFV, the Grand Flo boat dock or the Poly boat dock? I know you have to pass the wedding pavilion, but still, I wonder which is nearer.

Never used the boat docks since we had our 14 month old and her stroller, but we did walk one morning to the Poly for breakfast at Kona and that seemed liked a very far walk.

My family and I are scheduled to arrive at VGF in only 23 days! We will be staying in a dedicated 2-bedroom, standard-view room. I will be sure to put together a resort TR when we return…from, "Is it faster to walk thru Poly to TTC to pick up the EP monorail?" to, "How much did the monorail closure affect our travels?" to, "Is it worth all those DVC points?"

I found a really good site that goes into great detail about the villas:

Also, need to note that I was happy to read your post! When I called DVC to book I was all ready to split our stay with BLT if GFV wasn't available the whole stay, but we got all 8 nights...woo!
