Did you see Disneyland on opening day?Construction on Disneyland commenced on 7/21/1954 and was opened 361 days later, on 7/17/1955.
How many days has it taken to build a walkway and a bridge, again?

Good find- out of curiousity, did this go through SFWMD permitting, and if so do the plans show a stub end for the pedestrian pathway that would indicate a development b/w GF and MK?The official RCID maps show the second bridge, and the location of the construction wall is consistent with the path going over the bridge.

There was no point. It’s pointless to compare construction of a project over 60 years ago to one from today. Especially one that was still partially unfinished on opening day and full of shoddy construction.Did you see the point flying over your head?
Why, do you want to live under it?Is this going to be a toll bridge?

Its for people that have not got enough of walking for eight hours.. at mk personally please roll out my taxi” monorail ...I’ve always been all for this. It will properly link both Poly and Grand Flo to MK by foot.
With Disney monorails and busing becoming so cumbersome, a walkway is perfect and a major reason why we prefer the Epcot Resorts.

Here is a view of the swing bridge when opened for watercraft.
