What does Disney do to stop folks staying at the Contemporary from walking to the MK gate after hours?

Security guards and gates along the path. Something will have to be along this walking path to keep people out of the arrival plaza when the park is not open.

that would be a bummer if they closed this path just because MK is closed. It would be a great run in the early morning or evening.

Doesn't the path merge right into the walkway where the resort launches dock? I assume there's a fence/gate there, part of the security check point boat passengers and walking path guests must use, which they will simply clock and possibly lock.

And either side of the bridge is gated (see new pics) so even if the bridge is not open guests will be unable to access the path to MK.

When we were there last week, at least one of the days, they had some kind of giant water bag that was taking water from the lake and squirting it onto the construction near the temporary path (not sure what that's for, but....obviously they were working on the area.) They also had tons of construction vehicles, people doing stuff. So any month now.

Those bags are generally used to prevent erosion at the discharge of a pump. Often used in dewatering projects prior to digging a hole for drainage pipes or other pits. Could it have been connected to a pump near the lagoon not actually pumping from the lake?

You can see where it used to sit and it has been moved over.
