I vote for direct hydraulicAnyone know if it's belt, direct or cable drive?
AT-ATs have teeth but no head motion CONFIRMEDIt's direct drive. In some of the pictures you can see the teeth on the main gear.
It'd be nice if this was done in time for my February trip. This is one of the things I'm looking forward to the most.
I swear I'm not as sad sounding in person.

Not likely. Even when they finish this bridge, there is still a second fixed bridge to build which hasn't even been started yet.
Well, with enough hydraulic pressure and the moment that 40-foot bridge could generate, maybe WDW is planning to fling guests directly onto Splash Mountain!Interesting as that's the same mechanism for lots of sporting clay launchers.
That may be a bridge too far. It'd be nice if this was done in time for my February trip. This is one of the things I'm looking forward to the most.

I forgot about the other bridge. Oh well. My excitement for the bridge is going to be at an all time high by the time it opens. Not likely. Even when they finish this bridge, there is still a second fixed bridge to build which hasn't even been started yet.

This is one of the “60 additions for the 60th” projects.not to mention paving and landscaping that entire stretch of land between the monorail station and the Grand Floridian. new lighting, etc. probably fencing to keep people from going off the beaten path either way
What do you mean? Where will this fixed bridge be going? Not likely. Even when they finish this bridge, there is still a second fixed bridge to build which hasn't even been started yet.
There's a small canal just north of GF.What do you mean? Where will this fixed bridge be going?
There is a second smaller water section near the GF that needs the fixed bridge. Post #33 has a aerial picture that shows that second water section where a bridge will have to go.What do you mean? Where will this fixed bridge be going?
