hello all..
my family and I are heading down to the world in Jan. for Marathon weekend , Im running the Half marathon on sat. , and we are staying at the Grand flordian , my moms dream resort to stay.... , so heres my question and if you guys could post pics it would be great. -- my aunt Orgionally book us in a outer building garden view room. but when we got our reservation from my cusin , who took over our trip from his mom , he upgraded us to a Lagoon view , so my question is which building would be the best of view of this.. and could you guys post some pics ..

thanks!

I have to go to work right now but I'll try to post some pix tonight. Believe me wherever you are you will not be disappointed. We were in Conch Key dormer room in October, heavenly!

You can't go wrong. But when I went down I stayed at "Conch Key" and it was fantastic. You were close to the boat which is great when leaving MK and taking it back to the room. It was quiet and peaceful. Fell in love with that resort - Beach Club used to be my #1 but this ended up beating it out.

Pictures? I don't have any on me - they are on facebook and/or the fiances computer - but the views are lovely. The room is spacious. You won't be disapointed.

I was in Conch Key in January. I don't think it was a lagoon view, but it was a dormer room and it was pretty awesome.

Our 3rd-floor dormer room had vaulted ceilings:

The extra dormer portion (so not all rooms have this extra section):

DVC and pool were still under construction:

Like I said, I don't think we had a lagoon view but what we did have was still pretty good.

One thing you want to keep in mind is that because you're in a lagoon-view room you'll most likely hear the boat horns and the Electrical Water Pageant...and in our room we could hear the nightly movie at 9:30 or whatever. Normally it wouldn't be a big deal but just something to keep in mind on a trip where you'll probably want an earlier-than-normal bedtime in preparation for the half. :)

You'll love the Grand, it's amazing.

The Best Lagoon veiw in the whole resort:

At the very end of the Sago Cay building, there is a really good view of MK. It is a direct view of the castle and you can see the water pageant very clearly.
