It is funny how they keep the old AA's in "storage" for possible use at a later date. I would love to see that room.

The 'Revue was moved to Tokyo Disneyland in late 1980. It ran - and was maintained - there from April 1983 until 2009. I dare say these figures were kept safely with this project in mind.

Nice to see something being done to plus an attraction. I'm not sure what it says about how excited we are over the only news being 35 year old used animatronics that have been collecting dust somewhere being installed in an existing space using existing labor.

This was a pretty long running rumor with minimal updates:
January 15, 2014: On Episode 54 of the Unofficial Guide's Disney Dish podcast (31 minutes), Jim Hill mentioned that the old Three Caballero animatronics from the Mickey Mouse Review show from Tokyo Disneyland are awaiting installation in the final scene of the attraction.

August 13, 2009: WDWMagic.com user wdwfan22 reported that the Three Caballero Animatronics from Tokyo's Mickey Mouse Review would be repurposed and used in the Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros.

Yeah, I'm shocked. I knew these existed but figured it just wasn't going to happen after all these years. I wonder who decided to finally put forth a few bucks to roll them out?

Love the historical photos of the preview event.

Also, the attraction's got new exterior signage based on an old Mexican poster for the movie.
