Gran Fiesta Tour animatronics

I remember reading a while ago that the Gran Fiesta Tour celebration scene would be getting Three Caballeros animatronics to replace the current animation. I'm probably wrong but I thought this was confirmed as happening. Anyone have an update?

The AA's Were at the Destination D event a year or so ago..But, it was never confirmed that they would be put in..It would be better than all the other animated screens that's in the attraction..

When they arrived from Tokyo, they totally stripped down the 3 AA figures and had all the actuators and valves rebuilt and replaced all new hydraulic and air lines, then they decided it was too expensive to install at the finale.

Disney just being cheap again. I'm sure this couldn't have cost THAT much to do!

Well that sounds like a giant waste of time for them

I remember seeing them in the old "Mickey Mouse Revue" back in the 70's and the Caballeros were my favorite part of the show. I enjoy "Mickey's Philharmagic", but the original MM Revue was a lot of fun. I remember my disappointment when I heard that the entire show was packed up and sent to Japan.

Love, love, LOVE the AAs. I think they would really Plus that ride. I know there are some GFT haters on here, but I think it is wonderful

Gran Fiesta could use all the plussing it can get. I know it didn't replace a major E ticket attraction, and El rio del tiempo mainly used screens too, but it just feels cheap now. The least they could have done to spice it up, was bring in some 3 cabs AAs. It's literally the same ride as Nemo, screens and you're looking for Donald. I used to enjoy it, and I still do when it's hot and I want to chillax, but I prefer el rio any day.

I agree at least the finale of El Rio del Tiempo had the carousel with the Marionettes dancing around..What would be so hard into replacing them with the 3 Cabs..

Nothing hard about it. It just costs money. And it is just money to improve show quality, so they don't like to spend money to improve the show. If it was for the ride, it would be different. As long as people are still riding the ride, all that matters is hourly rider counts.

Here's a short clip of the Caballeros in action in Tokyo. It's a short, incomplete video that begins with Alice in Wonderland and finishes with The Three Caballeros. You haven't lived until you've heard Donald Duck sing in Japanese!:p

Spanish- Japanese style- hilarious!:D

It seems as though the ride still gets people in, I guess to take a nap!:D

While I do like the idea of having animatronics of the trio at the end of Grand Fiesta Tour, I'm not a particularly big fan of the ones shown by Cmdr_Crimson. That's not to say I don't like them, I think they look rather charming and I'm a fan of Mickey Mouse Revue, but I have a feeling the three would seem a little out of place at the end of the ride, especially when you take into account that they're hardly close to being on model to the animations found throughout the remainder of the attraction. I would personally much prefer it if they were to build new animatronics that resembled the characters much more closely to how they appear in the movie.
