Got online to check ticket prices today and found RT 156.00 from Chicago, so booked them right away for September. Nice to have that out of the way. Last year I got 140.00 RT for both of us when I purchased on New Years Day, so I am just lucky or this is a good day to buy. Only 270 days to wait. :sohappy:

We book our air about 2 months ago for our upcoming trip(only 14 more days!). We paid r/t $717.00 for 4 people n/s on Southwest. My bro in law says it should have been even cheaper because he says wives fly free! Questioned him on this and his reply was that they always advertise that "bags" fly free!:ROFLOL:

I just booked flights today for DD and her boyfriend for their March trip that was their surprise Christmas present. $118 RT from Pittsburgh on AirTran. Of course they charged an additional $13 each for an assigned seat each way, but it was still a good deal. DD's boyfriend is coming over from N. Ireland and this will be his 1st visit to the World.

Smart to lock up a ticket priced right! The other day I waited a few hours and the price went up 20 bucks from when I was going to book it earlierin the day. At least I decided to change the days though, so I am glad I waited(we decided to fly in the afternoon before, and motel it for a night before going disney the rest of the way).

You are lucky. We're heading down over our Spring Break week at the end of March, and tickets are much higher than your week. For round-trip, non-stop tickets going out of O'Hare, Midway, Mitchell, or Rockford in the morning and returning a week later in the evening, I was in the $400-$600 range for Orlando or Tampa. For a brief time, I could get Southwest for $300, but I didn't act right away and the price went up. So, I checked religiously (some might say obsessively) multiple times a day for many weeks. Until yesterday. Out of nowhere, United had the right dates and times at $300, so I jumped on it. The same tickets are back up to $430 today! Very strange. I might've waited it out longer, but I read that there isn't much discounting for Spring Break tickets once you get within three months.

That's a really good deal, we fly out of Chicago too. What airline are you using?

We are flying United, but I always check several and take the cheapest. Personally, I like American better, but they were too expensive. I would like to fly out of Rockford, but they only go to Sanford and I want to use DME, and also they won't book this far out so I don't know what we might end up with if we wait.
