Got my Kroger fuel points saved $48 on gas today!

Thanks to everyone on these boards for helping me save $ for Disney. Our trip is in a month so I bought $500 worth of Disney gift cards at Target using their credit card for $475. Then a week later Kroger had 4x fuel points so I bought another $500 gift card for 2000 poings on my Disney Visa. I filled up a few days later and save $48 bucks on my gas [bought gas for $1.56 a gallon ]. I'll use the gift cards to pay the hotel room so I have already saved an extra $78 including Disney reward points! I love these boards, I would never have known or thought to buy gift cards to pay for our trip.

Don't you love those Kroger fuel points??? Last time I drove to Disney I had my first tank of gas free by using the points!

Until I read your entire post I thought that you were getting some major souvenirs. Great way to work the system.

Yep, did the same thing, it's fun to stand at the front desk and hand over a stack of gift cards to pay off your room!

I'm about to buy about $2k in gift cards from Kroger with our D-Visa for our December trip. $40 Disney rewards and 8000 fuel points!

My husband just did me one better, he went to Kroger used his Discover card to buy a $500 Disney gift card, not only did he get the 2000 fuel points [worth $2/gallon off gas] but Discover gives him 5% back on "groceries" and yes it went though as "grocery". We'll apply this one to pay off our hotel room as well.
