Hey all!! I just got back from a 10 day stay at Walt Disney World, and it was a blast. Although it was pretty crowded, the lines weren't long at all. We walked on just about all the major rides. I must say, security down there is tight, but I am glad that it is. In fact, the longest line that we waited in was to get our bags checked. To everyone who is about to go, you will truly enjoy this celebration!!! :)

The pins are a must. Although they are pricey (what isn't in Disney World) they are so worth it!! They light up during a lot of rides and attractions and are truly awesome!! I highly recommend them!!!

Interactive Pins and Game

There are 5 different pins and each have 4 lights that light up when you touch the pin or they are activated within the park by different events. They cost $15 each.

There is also a Magical Moments game that has a set of 16 games that are also activated by the parks. If you like Game Boy type games, then you should like this game. And, at $20 its a great value.

Pin / Game

There is a picture of one of the pins on the WDW official web site:

http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/waltdisneyworld/index

Click on "100 Years of Magic Celebration" and then click on "My Pin Box" and finally click on "Find Out About the Real Magical Moments Pins". You can click on "Skip Intro" when you open the "100 Year ..." box.

The game is not a pin. It is a handheld game with an fairly large LCD screen. It starts with one game and then 15 more games are activated in the park. And, once the games are activated they stay with the game. So, when you get home you have a great set of games based on the big attractions!

ON the games--
do they tell you where you need to go to unlock
the games, or do we spend all week trying to
figure it out on our own???

that would be a bummer

Game Activation

The game has a menu page and part of that is a list of activation sites. Each of the four parks have activation sites. But, if you miss any it will automatically activate all of the games after several days.

If I recall, a friend of mine has a time share there and we went visiting her once. The apartments were nice and spacious. The bathroom was huge and very nice.

buying a Magical Moments game

I know that they sell them at the Rock 'n Roller coaster ride ... right near the registers in the store at the exit to the ride. And, at other locations within Disney. But, I do not think they sell them outside of the parks. And, because the game can have games activated in all four parks, I would guess that you can buy it in all four.

Thank you, that helps narrow it down! :)

Marcia...you can buy the game anywhere that you can buy the pins...which is just about anywhere!! I hope anyone who is going soon buys the pins...they are so worth it when you are on rides and during the parades. At first I thought I was a fool to spend the money I did on them, but now that I am home and I look back at the fun I had, I have no regrets!! :animwink:
