Got a phone call about a professional position

That's sad but true... it's due to the sheer volume of resume's they receive.

If you want a shot, call obsessively, but do NOT leave a voicemail message. Use *67 if you must. Don't stop until you get an answer from the person you need to speak to. Once you do, ask to schedule your interview and take the earliest time/date available.

WDW strives to give the appearance of professionalism to guests, but professionalism is lacking in most aspects of that company that I've experienced first hand.

I have been trying to get an interview for over a year now and have only applied to posted positions that I all of, or more than, the requirements for the position. The positions are still posted many months after I applied, but I have not been contacted.

You mentioned calling ... who do you call? The only casting number I can find is for hourly positions and htey told me that they will not forward me to a professional position recruiter.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

MKFan, please send me a PM and we can talk that way.

landauh, there is no "centralized" number to call like there is with the service jobs in the theme parks. You are doing the right thing by submitting your resume. If they feel your qualifications match what they are looking for then you will be contacted by a professional recruiter, not the other way around. I know it's frustrating as I too have applied to many positions that I felt I was very qualified for only to hear nothing back.

Anyways I still don't know whether or not I got the job. I called the recruiter on Monday and she said that I am still in the running and even that they had turned away some of the applicants that they had interviewed. She said that she expects an answer in the very near future. But today is Thursday and I still haven't heard from her. It has now been three weeks since my interview. She did tell me that it normally takes four to six weeks from the time she first called me for them to bring someone on board. She first contacted me on February 27 so we are still within that 4-6 week time frame.

*still hoping*
