Google Maps Update

Has anyone noticed that Google Maps has updated the Map for the WDW. Full construction is now on view of DTD, for the new Disney Springs. Also finally the Universal Studios photos have been updated and Diagon Alley is now availible. Just wanted to let you all know.

Still appears to be from early last year, hub work is just getting started. I have been using NearMap.com recently, they have images of WDW from December 2014 and claim they will update those 3 times a year.

The current Google Earth imagery is really low quality right now for some reason.
It is kind of neat that the Google Maps image of Expedition Everest was taken right as a train was stopped at the apex of the switchback.

I am still seeing old imagery on Google Maps, but in the Google Earth app I am now seeing images from 2/2015, so it looks like they do have the updated images.

I've noticed slightly newer imagery here and there, but the thing that caught my eye recently is that the faked-out 3D models are slightly more convincing. Still not walk-around-the-park quality like they used to be, but convincing enough for a flyover.

Oh how I miss the old 3D models. I could fire up some Disney Parks music and walk through the Magic Kingdom and *almost*, for a moment, believe I was actually there. A great way to pass the time in between trips.
