I use Google Earth fairly frequently, and just recently started "pinning" down the main "Welcome to Walt Disney World" locations around the property. I've found 4......is that it, or are there others?

(I really miss the 3D WDW renderings on GE. Anyone know if they'll be coming back?)

WDW actually has 3-D imagery again! It's not the kind based off of user-submitted Sketchup models, but rather rendered off the landscape like topography, so it's a little bit rougher but still cool to look at. Have you tried going into your options? There should be a checkbox that says something like "use 3-D imagery, disable for legacy buildings" that should be checked.

If you're talking about the archway, yes, there are 4: World Drive, Epcot Center Drive, Western Way and the smaller one at Hotel Plaza Blvd (though it's the only one set up for a safe and legal Guest photo op).

At the other property access points there is a basic, unassuming white sign that's mostly for legal purposes stating that you are entering private property owned by Disney. I've seen the ones entering from Reams Road and Sherberth Road, and I presume the northern ends of Vista Blvd and Buena Vista Drive have the same sign.

There's also one on Oceola Parkway.

On the topic of the 3D models, I happened to check the other day and it was active, although in a rougher version, as mentioned above. Went back to poke around today and it's been turned off again, leaving only Spaceship Earth, Swan and Dolphin.

The Western Way one, should that be asterisked? I'm not a fan of the West entrance and access roads, those are "fake" to me.

I just looked as well; looks like you're right. :( I wonder if Disney had a hand in Google taking it down, the 3d models showed a lot of information about backstage areas.

Disneyland's still works though. ;)

All the construction at the WDW parks makes the current Google maps inaccurate, probably when that's all finished Google can bring it back
