Google Earth/SketchUp: 3D WDW?

Puttering around the internet a few days ago, I noticed Google released a new application called Google SketchUp, which is a really easy 3D modelling program that works seamlessly with Google Earth. This basically lets you plop down buildings on top of the Google Earth sattelite images.

This got me to thinking: how possible would it be to recreate parts of WDW in 3D in Google Earth? I've seen a Cinderella Castle and Test Track pop up in Google's 3D gallery, and just for kicks I made an attempt at Space Mountain. How cool would it be to be able to walk around WDW in 3D?

Here's the link to my Space Mtn.

That. Is. Nice.

I'm sure that one day the technology will be there for Google Earth (or an equivalent program) to accurately render a true navigable 3-D environment such as the one you've described. Who knows... Maybe it'll even be in real time! Wow! That'll be the day!

This actually is kind of scary if you think about it. I mean it would be cool to see a 3D rendering to be able to walk around WDW and other places in 3D found on the net. But what if it gets into the wrong hands? There are still people out there trying to gather information on highly populated places to plan bad things. Just saying it's a little disturbing that anyone can gather all of this information by logging on to a computer.

Sketch up was originally a program for Architects and such and was just bought by THE GOOGLE NATION and they have a free cheap version now and then the souped up swank version I use which totally rocks. Ive made some awesome stuff for my design classes at school. Alot of Architects I've talked to said that if you know CAD and Sketchup you are set for a CAD tech job, so thats what I'm training for but my full goal is total building and design Domination of the world.
