I thought this concept looked pretty interesting. I know this is announcement for Tokyo, but it also looks like possible tech that could be used in Innoventions or Disney Quest.

I always get excited at the possibility of exploring our international Disney Parks – and soon, there will be yet another reason to pay a visit to Tokyo Disney Resort, with the debut of the new Goofy’s Paint ‘n’ Play House attraction at Tokyo Disneyland.

Set to open Aug. 24, this Toontown attraction will allow guests to help Goofy redecorate his room in a unique and colorful fashion. Groups of guests will work together to “paint” the room using special paint applicators called Toontone Splat Masters. Guests simply aim at the wall (or furniture) they want to color and activate the applicators.

The attraction will feature beach, jungle and other themes, as well as different Toontone Splat Masters, so guests can vary their choices.

Looks like fun!

It's the same technology that is used in Toy Story Mania. Think when your doing the first room where your training by hitting the bullseye. Every time you hit it the target it puts pie on it.

How foolish of me to think it's more than just screens :brick:

It can be more than screens.. think of the projection mapping used on the castle.. or the buzz AA in astroblasters, etc.

You have a physical shape that acts as the projection surface.. and using 3D projection techniques.. you make the flat object look like a real object with details. But since it's projected.. you can manipulate it on the fly.

They didn't give any details.. but that's a feasible way to achieve it.

Just bumping this because this opened today. Check out the coverage on the Disney Parks Blog:

Take a look at our newest attraction in Tokyo Disneyland. Goofy’s Paint ‘n’ Play House officially opens today and of course, we have some first images to share with Disney Parks Blog readers.

Inside the House, everyone gets a “paint”-shooting applicator called a Toontone Splat Master to redecorate Goofy’s room. You push a button, turn a handle or pull a string to make different colors of what seems like real paint fly out toward the walls and floor of the room. And yes, guests work together to make it happen.
The attraction also features theme options, like “beach” or “jungle,” to help with your remodeling. Check out our gallery for a closer peek.

I would love to see this Muppet themed in DHS outside Muppet-Vision 3D... It's perfectly suitable for the Muppets' zaniness
