Lol, i like them all! :) you're right, tom sawyers island is good, too! they do have the caves, and they're supposed to be haunted.... we could do a kind of haunted house thing, maybe? or a kind of hunt, you know, for the ghost of (wow, i blanked on the name, but the indian outlaw)? i must say i get creeped out whenever i run thru them! i just dunno how many people know enough now about tom sawyer to get anything ( the same problem i have with any kids today and their lack of knowledge and appreciation of the better stories-see my bit about pirates below)

i do like a ghost train at BTM, but it's ok, we could always open it up. slightly afraid it could be tied to paris'; they made their frontierland into a kind of ghost town, with the haunted mansion, etc.

hmm... ghost doll, yes, creepy, and now i dunno! XD we dont want to scare all the kids away! but we could try to lessen it, to give a good scare, that some people look for, but still not be dreadful

and youre right abotu pirates, it doesn't seem to be original, or a challenge, but thats because you're not looking at the right challenge! ;) the challenge is to find a way gthat IS original and not obvious, liek it seems. it gives a bit of a more difficult level. (however, if it was done in real life, i could jsut see all these guests going, well, why are there no zombies or skeletons, blah, blah, blah blah. kinda like why they changed it in the first place :P)

We should wait, yes! :) i could banter on a lot, but there are a few other members ;) i'd say wait a bit, and if the other team beats us, its ok, we'll choose around! :) we have a lot of options!

Ah Of course you are right Mewhunter...the challenge with pirates to make it something unexpected...but yeah...in the long run...why? people would expect to see ol' Skeleton Jack...and I agree that would be really nifty, but ...but...
oh damn...I can't think of anymore buts!

Splash Mountain is way too detailed in it's own story to be of any use, I think.

I didn't know that Paris had the ghost town concept! that's so cool...makes me wanna go there even more!

So...

We have as good Possibilities...

Jungle Cruise (with rapid zombie animals and such...remaining silly but spooky at the same time!)

Tom Sawyer Island..(Injun Joe, and ghostly haunted trails, with scavenger hunts and the like..)

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad...(though it might be derivative, and it goes by so quick!)

Rewriting a show...like Stich or Country Bears with a halloween theme...

The WDW Railroad (with spooky effects along the way...though honestly I did this for Six flags...for a number of years)

I just had a wild idea about turning the Hall of Presidents into a zombieland of fun.. but that's just TOO wrong, isn't it? :D

I think Jungle Cruise is a really good idea to go with. It could have a voodoo theme with severed heads and frightening masks and all kinds of things along the way. The first thing that I thought of was the second PotC film when it
is dark and the are sailing up a jungle river and the natives are in the water humming and holding candles. Right I didn't explain that at all well, hopefully you understand.
In an overlay are you allowed to add new scenes or just change what's already there? I have a big idea for a new scene of a Jungle Cruise: Voodoo Takeover! but I think it might be a bit munch.

Apart from Tom Sawyer Island I really don't think there is anything else. Pirates and BTM are way too predictable and a haunted version of a Fantasyland attraction just wouldn't work.

Ok...I am starting to hallucinate...so I am making the tough team decision and going with Jungle Cruise...

Hopefully we are all good with this??

There is SO much we can do there as a team! and so much we can do to make it a frightening...but not overly scary...awesome ride

Oops looks like you beat me too it aswell Chrononymous. My vote is for Jungle Cruise. BTW Paris' Frontierland isn't meant to be a ghost town at all, it's a thriving gold mining town.

EDIT: Argh you're just too quick for me again! You're certainly a very responsive team leader :D

Yes! I love it!

Btw, Paris' frontierland is meant to be a showcase of the american west in the view of the europeans, so it was tied together as a boomtown that went south (becoming a ghosttown of sorts) it helped tie int eh haunted mansion, which is located there. a wealthy family discovers gold, found the town, and it becomes a boom town. they built teh mansion overlooking it to live in. the father is very controlling, and the town winds down. the RR heads thru the remains, while the mansion highlights the story of struggle between the daughter and father, who killed her groom, and has been trying overtake teh town. pretty cool, i must say.

as for the other ideas, we have some great ones! i'd glance at the other team's, so we don't happen to trod on any toes, or even think about side points to build on for our own. i do agree with your points, tho, chron. each one has good pros and cons.

i do like teh Zombie Hall! LOL! but yes, slightly out there, if i do say so.

country bear? hmm, that sounds cool! (they do have a christmas and vacation edition, it wouldnt be a shake to say theres a halloween one)

are tehre any fantasy land ones to look at? i saw you mention pooh... wow, i'm starting to realize how limited there are in choices; i think we've covered most! :D

Ok...I PMed Mater with JC as out first choice.

You guys feel free to bluesky for a while...

get all your ideas out here...even the craziest scariest scenarios!

I like Voodoo. Heck, I practice voodoun on occasion...so this could be very cool thing...maybe tie it in with Princess and the Frog?
Maybe make some zombie undead animal jokes along the way?

Allright...I think i really really need a nap...so I will be back online later!

Actually, you're right charlie. i think i got a little mixed on the haunted mansion there overall with teh view of teh town. i got the impression it was overall a ghost town. I still need to go there! :)

I see you jumped on all the other questions and ideas too, so we got ourselves rolling!

I jsut realized a lot of talking was happening while i was writing, and we've already decided! XD

Only Snow White and Pinocchio. And Snow White's already meant to be scary. A Halloween version of Mickey's Philarmagic would be kinda cool. Glad we've got Jungle Cruise though. First round we could win outright!

i love the voodoo idea of the JC....

i mentioend earlier we maybe could somehow involve superstitions and rituals from the various locales that the rivers represent.. or would that involve too much? as a sort of cruise through a mystical realm of each, where the guests dont realize they've steeped into the folklore and myths of the people who live there (like, being attacked or chased by mythic creatures, or things seeing events from stories, some what educating them, but without it being obvious.)

it still has to have the trademark humor tho. :D

I aws looking at those, and i figured it just would hold. I do like philarmagic tho... that would be interesting.

i like JC too! just gotta get moving! we should, i think we can! :D

i do like the idea they're leanign to, the liberty belle show... looks fun!

Ok...before I go (really, I know)

Here's some things we need to think about...

BACKSTORY...what is the new story about this dark adventure? Is all the strange goings on a natural occurance because of the full moon...or that time of the year?

Did someone create this with sorcery, voodoo, or unknown vial containing a deathly virus?

NEW SCENES...what do we want to see? It's likely impossible to redo them all completely...but overlays can be done in so many different ways...think about lighting, think about if this just takes place after dark, or is an all day overlay...think about AAs, and how we can alter them...think about water effects...think about the addition of live actors! (ooh that's creepy) or new AA additions...

SCRIPT...ok...those of you with wit and wisdom to share...think about puns and jokes to offset some of the scarier or more gruemsome scenes. Think about the Skipper's job here...are they hapless, and experiencing the weirdness along with us, or are they responsible in some way for what we are seeing...or where we are going?

Think about anything new or cool that you always wanted to see here...think about what pops out of the water, instead of hippos...think about overall theme and CREEPY...but not really bloody horrible...it's afterall still WDW, and kids will be riding this!

Ok. Bed...see ya all in a few hours...

The terrifying voodoo spirits of the jungle have been unleashed, terrifying unsuspecting guests hoping for a leisurely jungle cruise. I really would like something genuinely scary for this ride, catering for adults whereas all the Mickey events are for kids. And yeah I think the skipper should be just as scared as we are. And IMO it should just be after dark to give it that extra scary touch- although thinking about it that might not work with new scenes.

I just realised we'd have to write a whole new spiel for the boat skipper in order to do this. Anyone good at script writing?

EDIT: Chrononymous you really better go before I accidently repeat anything else you say!
