I'll be leader. Jason, nice job last time!

I was thinking WEDWay.

Thanks.

I like the WEDWay idea, but we should really spice it up with something new. Maybe "virtual reality" screens inside each vehicle or interactive touch screen technology letting guests get a preview of their next destination.

Ok, regardless of what vehicle we do, I think I have an idea for the layout.

Basically, there would be a loop that goes between the four parks. From each park would be one or two spurs that would be straight tracks that would go to and from the resorts, water parks, and other attractions. The only question is DTD, whether or not we connect it it. It is currently not directly linked to any parks because of people parking there and then taking a bus straight to MK to avoid parking fees. I wonder how we could avoid that happening in our new system.

I like that. They could select the park they were going to,get general info, select a land, then select an attraction to get info on each ride and current wait times.

We definately need to connect DtD. Do we want to connect any resorts?

So what I've got so far...

WDW People Mover System

Guests enter into small vehicles capable of accommodating up to 6 people, and select the destination of their choice from a touch screen in the cab. Guests will then enter into a track that will take them to the main loop that circles between all four parks and DownTown Disney. Along the track are spurs that go back out to other resorts and parks, and when the guest reaches that spur they will leave the main circle and head off to their destination. While on the way, the touch screen will display information about the destination, including dining options complete with menus and the ability to check/make ADRs.

The issues we should address... User Error (making sure it's foolproof), handling breakdowns (should a vehicle stop for any reason, would it shut down the whole system or a part of it?), power supply (since it's supposed to be green)

Thoughts?

Just had a thought, maybe guests don't select the destination, maybe each resort/hotel has a Cast Member checking people in the line and getting their destinations and then, using a tablet or something, passes that on to the Mover, thereby making the process more fool proof and also probably faster too.

I was thinking it should all stem off a station at the TTC. 5 lines-each park and DtD. Each line would have stops at resorts in the area of it's final destination. We should do the electo-magnetic system like the TTA.

So are we gonna do something, or just lose? :-) I'm gonna be around this evening, I can do the map of everything.

I disagree about using the TTC, it isn't a central location and thus not really ideal, even if it does have all that parking. Epcot is much more central. What are you thoughts?

I guess that would work.....I was just thinking TTC because is currently used as the hub. If you do the map we need 5 lines (MK,EC,DHS,AK,DtD,with spurs off each line for nearby resorts.) I will do vehicle and track structure design.

Jason, you are better at writing than I am,so could you write up the basic idea of the system?

Do we still want to do the touch screens where people can find out mire about their destination?

^ Ok, thanks. Should I describe the vehicle system and the vehicle system?

I still like the touchscreen idea.
