Well, this was my last day of freedom before I start school back up again, so I decided to spend a couple hours at Disney after my flight got to Orlando, prior to heading back to Riddle. Since I got a digital camera for Christmas, I decided to attempt my first update. With the 3-4 hours I spent at the parks I did as much digging as I could

Started the day at MGM, the crowds were pretty minimal. Tower of Terror showed a "13" minute wait and Rock 'n' Roller Coaster showed a "10". After riding both, I made my way to LMA. They were doing testing with motorcyles, so I scrambled for my camera to get some shots, sorry about the distance.

All of the lights have been taken off of the buildings of the Streets of America. Most of the light structures are in the process of being taken down.

Despite the low crowds, there were quite a few sidewalk shows going on, most if which were very funny.

At Epcot, the Land renovation has been progressing I guess, the sidewalks and foliage have been ripped up, and construction equipment has been appearing outside.

I've been wondering what the heck that box thing is??

Mission: Space posted a 15 minute wait time and TT posted a 20 minute wait.
Maelstrom was a walk on and El Rio Del Tiempo was down for refurbishment.

On my way out, I noticed they placed some new Stitch's on the monorails, this is one I was able to capture from the Epcot monorail platform, if you can't make out what it is, it's Stitch rubbing his butt cheeks against the monorail window

Well that was my first attempt at an update, hope you enjoyed it!

The Land Construction Box is covering up the plaque that has the quote on it. Nice update... they need better Land construction walls.

I agree, they really need to at least wrap the walls up to the building. It's way to easy to catch a really good look inside because of where the walls end, kinda bad show in my opinion, cause this is something that really could be hidden a lot better than what it is.

Why bother, when everyone who arrives via monorail can see the whole thing? The walls are just keeping people safely away from the construction.

Thanks for the update and pictures :)

Ok, I'm a pretty big Stitch fan and am one of the few who actually kind of like SGE, but the advertising of "Stitch" is becoming a little way too excessive. I really hope the monorail decals are just part of someone's idea to promote SGE and once the attraction's newness factor wears off they will come off as well (why continue ito advertise it so much though if reports are coming in that people hate it so much and are actually complaining at guests services?) I really dislike him being on the monorails like that. Ugh.

Is he just on a few monorails? Did you happen to notice how many Stitch stickers are on each monorail? Hopefully just one sticker per monorail, at the most.

If they keep this plaque, they will get hundreds of Grizzly hugs.

From what I saw it varied from train to train, some trains had two differant stickers on them, each one a differant stitch pose, and that was on one side, so their was probobly a total of 4 on that train. From what I saw, it looked like some of them had the SGE logo underneath them. All of them MK monorails had it, at least what I saw that night, and I saw 3 differant types of poses, there may be one or two more.... not positive though.

And what pray tell will happen if they rip out the plaque and replace it with a new one signed by Uncle Mikey?

Just kidding Grizz. ;)

Though I noticed that the actual sign for The Land isn't covered up by plywood. Perhaps a name change will take place?

That, or the sign is going to be going away (which seems very likely).

The monorail is one of my WDW moments, I know its a fancy train really, but I love the monorail for the journey that it is. I don't want the monorail experience being degraded by covering it in advertising. Take off Stitch and bring back the great monorail voice with Por Favor!

Maybe I wrong.

But with how much they're unneccesarliy tearing things up outside, could it be they're changing the entrance to the bottom floor?

Oh, I almost forgot, after having removed the the holiday loop, the new guy doing the monorail narration is still there. However the original voice still does the "Please Stand Clear of the Doors" spiel. (Sorry I forgot the names) :brick:
