A worker at Disney's "Goofy" restaurant says that the company has been playing fast and loose with the wages there -- and she's suing the Mouse House -- with all kinds of claims. M-I-See you in court!

TMZ has obtained this class action lawsuit filed by Amber Galloway [http://www.aolcdn.com/tmz_documents/1127_disney_goofy.pdf], which alleges that Disney Worldwide Services (Disney) ignored California labor laws when they didn't permit breaks, overworked the staff and made them toil "off the clock" during lunch breaks. Some of the workers dress like Disney characters -- one patron described it as, "Cinderella, Goofy, and Chip and Dale came over to our table during brunch."

Amber also alleges that the cartoon hash house didn't keep an accurate count of hours worked by employees, and further claims that Disney "injured" her and was "unfair, unlawful, and harmful." Sounds like a total Mickey Mouse operation.

First off TMZ is a Crock. Second It sounds like a disgruntled wait staff employee that is angry because they weren't making enough tips and had to side work that all wait staff hate to do anyway. I've worked in the food service industry for 17 years and wait staff are always complaining when they have to do anything besides wait tables. Sounds like someone looking for a quick buck.

I work with Employment lawyers who represent large international companies and I am constantly surpirsed at the kind of crap they pull when it comes to their employees.

I dunno - it could be true, but I'm inclined to declare shenanigans. :brick: I worked Main St. Merch '93-'95. When we were getting slammed, we all skipped breaks/lunches. It was about supporting each other and serving the guests as best we could. Working for Disney is a privilege and responsibility...shame on her.

Working for Disney is a job, not a privilege. Workers at Disney deserve the same kind of fair treatment as someone working anywhere else. Period.
