I don't think this has been posted yet. Excuse me if it has.

I just read here on StitchKingdom.com that the characters at DHS are getting a makeover. Mickey and the gang will soon soon be sporting costumes from early Hollywood: "Goofy in a zootsuit, Minnie and Daisy in gowns, Donald in a fedora, Chip and Dale in ties and more." The meet-n-greet area near the hat will also receive new backdrops.

This sounds pretty cool to me. What do you think?

Reminds me of some old time Disney cartoons. Love when things get mixed up a bit. :cool:

I would imagine it would be something along these lines...

15 years or so ago Goofy was in a zoot suit and Minnie was in an evening gown at the character breakfast at Hollywood and Vine.

The outfits were white with hot pink and aqua or sea green accents.

Maybe they've just refurbished the costumes??

These were taken in 2002. This was at Hollywood & Vine. Minnie and Goofy would dance in the main area every so often, then come to each table.

Sorry they aren't the best quality. I had to take a picture of a picture to post them. We didn't have a digital camera then and our scanner is not currently working.

According to Studios Central the outfits are going to be brand new designs.

My guess is we won't see the new outfits until October, when new character schedules go into effect, though I don't know that for certain.

Very cool. So just to over analyze this :lol:, could this mean DCA will cover the Hollywood 20's and 30's and DHS cover the 40's and 50's?

I've theorized DHS could receive Studios 'showcases' as lands in the future but also they have the option of creating eras in Hollywood as they are doing at DCA. I personally prefer the second possibility I think.

I think that could be an accurate assessment.

I'm loving the 1940s getup for the characters. Good to see that Disney is acknowledging the heart and soul of the park's theme.
