Good to go or tough road to hoe?

Simple issue. my girlfriend and I are debating about whether it's a good/bad idea to go June 6-11. My theory is that it's good because most schools haven't let out yet so it shouldn't be crazy busy yet. Her theory is...I'm wrong. Anyone have any comments?

My daughter's last day in Pre-K is tomorrow...

My Son's last day (half day) in 1st grade is the next day...

Immediately after he gets out, we get on the road 18-20 hours to Orlando!

We'll go either Sunday or Monday first to AK or EPCOT...

:wave::p:sohappy:

Last year in July (27th) for our 10th anniversary - MK was waaaaaayyy more crowded than any of the 4 during this same time frame last year.

I'm all for going right around Memorial Day... it's fine w/me!!

I agree though, a crowded WDW is better than no WDW.:animwink:

You could arrive at the parks early and use a touring plan to avoid the longest waits of the day. Then you'd say "Crowded shmowded - we didn't wait more than 10minutes for anything. I told you so."

Then, when you're done vomiting after she kicks you in the groin, you can both go for ice cream. ;)

[edit] Other than the touring plan thing, don't take advice on women from me. I once replied to my (still) wife, after she asked me if she looked okay, that she "looked adequate." My, but the garage was cold that night.

In central Alabama, schools are getting out this week. My son's Pre-K got out last week. I think a lot of schools are getting out soon, if not already. We start back the first of August which isn't great, since its still real hot.

We went mid April, the week after Easter. The touring plan had rated it as 8's & 9's most of our trip. We actually spent less time in line than the week after Thanksgiving 2005, one of the "slowest times". We waited in line longer in 05 than this past April. We knew what we wanted to do, utilized our fastpasses and our wait in lines were not as bad as predicted.

Based on our recent experience, I would not hold on to the touring plans predictions like its the gospel. It all depends on if the rides are operating at full capacity or not. If it is, the wait times are less. It is June so the crowds will be larger. The best thing to do is plan for the worse and hope for the best. Decide what you must ride/do to consider the trip a success. We did that and was very surprised that we were able to do all that we wanted and more.

I think like some of the others. I would rather be there with large crowds, than not be there at all.
