Good time for rope drop?

What time should i be at DHS for rope drop? im staying off-site and opening time its 9 am the day ill be there.
Regarding ROTR boarding pass can i get it from anywhere? or i must be at DHS entrance at 7 am to get it?

What are your goals for rope drop? That would determine timing.

I think you can get the 7am from anywhere as long as you have a valid park reservation for HS that day. You don't have to be at the gate.

The park will typically open about 45 minutes before the posted park opening. If you arrive at 8:15 though you'll be in line behind a bunch of other people that are there for rope drop. But, as the prior poster states, that may not be a big deal depending on what your goals are at rope drop. As an off-site guest, the main issue you will have is how early you'll be let into the parking lot, assuming you are driving over. The parking lot may not even open until 8:00 or 8:15 am for a 9:00 am scheduled opening.

yeah my goals are to do as much rides as posible before i leave to epcot at around 2pm. (depending at what time i get a boarding group for ROTR ..if i get one) yes i will be driving to DHS the parking lot detail its important thanks.
