Good Sign for Wonders of Life?

Grizz...I wasn't saying Vader was lying (sorry if it even remotely sounded that way). I just was thinking that Disney may have made some sort of mistake and sent him a brochure from last year or something along those lines. You have to admit that it doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Even if the pavilion was open on a regular basis, it wouldn't be the attraction that disney would be showing off.

I can tell you w/o seeing the scan that vader is correct.(have the booklet also...vader isnt that dvd & cd-rom nice, I love it) The booklet does indead list body wars as a recomendation of sorts for teens on a chart if i remember right. This is a good sign for WOL in general showing that it won't be shut down for good for at least awhile yet. But yes body wars could use a nice small rehab but not as bad as some other classics.

This sounds like the brochure that you receive that says something like... "Welcome back to INSERT RESORT NAME, Family Name. We've included information that you find helpful for planning your vacation."

If so, it's the same thing I've received for my stays. It's basically a mail merge program that looks at your reservations and the stats they have about you. It then creates a nice promotional slick they sent out a few weeks before your visit.

I know it takes into account your previous visits, since one I received said "new attractions since you last visited" and showed PhilHarmagic. I have a feeling their mail merge program needs to be updated with changes! :D

Oh no, I smell the comeback of "The EPCOT wand WILL go down very, very soon" thread . Anyway, I wouldn't think too much of this. I think they are just advertising the minor rides. I mean they put Indiana Jones instead of ToT or RnRC. They put in Thunder instead of Space and Kali instead of Dinosaur (which provides more thrills). I say we start a bet on how many pages this thread will get. :) I say 8 pages.

In the mail today, we received a packet from Disney World with maps and stuff to see and do in Disney World. In the packet, it gives one great ride for each park. Guess what Epcot has... No, not Test Track, Soarin', or even Mission: Space. It shows Body Wars. Not sure what it means, but it's good to see nonetheless.

This also makes me ask, will WoL even be open May 21-25?

Did you get that packet for making a reservation at a Disney resort? My Aunt made a reservation about a week ago and got a bunch of maps and stuff from Disney earlier this week. I made a reservation the day after her and I haven't gotten anything. I'm just wondering if I'll get some maps and stuff too!

As far as Wonders of Life...umm...I've never really liked this pavillion. I never even liked Body Wars. Don't be mad at me, but I wouldn't mind something more exciting there. :lookaroun

Laura, yes I got it for making reservations at a Disney Resort. That guide is all personalized and says "You'll be staying at Port Orleans", in case you missed it. So, you'll be getting a little booklet with maps and stuff.

Brent, apparently mine didn't come with a CD. Oh well...

How about replacing Body wars with "Body Tours" - an omnimover ride through parts of the body. Along the way the host discusses the importrance of exercise, eating right, etc on each part of the body. Think of how totally cool that would be!

As interesting as that would be (of course it would require some more story and substance), with the trend of Epcot rides lately we can put that in the never going to happen catrgory. Its unfortunate that we are losing so many omnimover rides, but I won't complain about the new attractions either (although TT should be so much better than it is).

I think they emphasize the lesser thrills because they know people will do the popular rides anyhow. They know you have been before, so they are just pointing out rides you might not have ridden.
