Hey everyone...

My wife and I are planning on taking a Night to ourself on our Next Trip which is August 2013.

We HoneyMooned in Wdw/orlando in 1993 and Had Hoped for a Quick Get away for our anniversary this May.

Dosent look like that will happen But we are def. going With the Kids In august.

I suggested Tonys becasue we ate there and loved it on our Honeymoon.

Dw thinks maybe someplace new and Different would be more enjoyable...We have lots of time to consider what would be best !! So, What do you think?? Thanks in advance for any help!!

Tony's is not something I would advise. I don't know how to compare the food. Some say Tony's is like Chef Boy-ar-dee, some say it's like microwave dinners, some say Olive Garden. I think all of those comparisons are charitable.

If you like Italian food, try Il Mulino at the Swan. If you're looking for a good grown-up vibe, Todd English's bluezoo at the Dolphin is upscale, sexy, serves a great cocktail and has excellent seafood. If you like unique flavors, Jiko at the Animal Kingdom Lodge has interesting dishes with twists inspired by all sorts of regional African cooking, and has a very romantic atmosphere for a Disney restaurant. Good wine list too.

Has Victoria and Albert's really not come up yet?

He said romantic not expensive,… but seriously V&A was a culinary experience my dear wife and I thoroughly enjoyed however we didn’t find it as intimate as some other restaurants as there was a stream of courses and wines brought to the table. One of our best was Bistro du Paris on our Disney moon. The waiter took excellent care of us, recommended and excellent wine but he didn’t hover, we have had the same experience at Citrico’s, THE California Grill or Yachtsman.

He didn't say not expensive either. And California Grille ain't exactly cheap.

We've only been there once, but I found it not only to be romantic, but to be pretty much the best food I've ever had in my life.

The two that my wife an I believe are the most romantic are:
  • San Angel Inn (Dimly lit with candles lighting your table overlooking the Myan temple and volcano in the distance)
  • Bistro de Paris (Really has the feel of a bistro in the heart of Paris including a server with a French accent. Also ask for a window seat to overlook World Showcase.)

Dinner for two will be expensive at any of the establishments mentioned. I totally agree that V&A was one of the best meals we ever had. We have eaten at V&A a couple of times and I felt that they hovered. I quess I'm not use to great service. In the end romance is what you make of it. One of the most romantic meals my dear wife and I ever experienced was at a Japanese steakhouse, and we can never go back there again, but I digress.

The best, most romantic restaurant in WDW is California Grill. Until you experience the views, you won't understand just how awesome it is. Staff is top notch and the food is the best I've ever had on property.
