Good Ideas for families first trip

Ok, a few of you have been helping me with the young children at Epcot question and we are planning at least a long half day there if not a whole day. One family I am bringing has never been. We are staying at nice Vacation Home in Windsor Hills. Park days are Tuesday through Friday. For $$ reasons we are not doing MNSSHP. On Wednesday night after a day at AK, the parents are going to Ohana's and eat and watch Wishes and the water parade. The family that has never been has kids that are 12, 7 and 8. Adults are mid 30's. Disney makes it nice because of the little things they do.

Question:
What are some "little things" I could do as there trip host to make it special...ok, more magical? I can't wait to see what you all come up with!:)

If they've never been before, I don't think you'll have to do much to make it more magical. The best thing you can do for them is to know your way around enough and how to avoid lines and such. That way you can be the best guide for them. Every time I've escorted newbies to WDW, they were always appreciative of the guidance.

Without knowing the prices of something I'm going to suggest for the young ones a couple autograph books so when the meet Mickey and crew they're all set. Maybe a binder with pockets so they can keep some stuff like maps, Kidcot things and other stuff.
The other fun thing for the kids would be the "passports" for Epcot and Magic Kingdom. We did that on our last trip and it was fun in MK to find the places for the stamps in each the lands. Epoct was even more special to get the greetings in the native language of that country you visit as well as the Kidcot stops.

One thing my 7yr old(girl) loves is the penny stamping machines.Disney has little coin albums you can get and the machines are all around the parks and resort hotels.
That's one small thing.:D Just bring along some shiny pennies.

I agree with the comment just being the first time is going to be magical.

The autograph book might be alright for the younger one's, though I have seen adults use them too. My kids were 5 & 7 the first time we went and they enjoyed it but the next time (7 & 9) they weren't into it as much. But being the first time it might be for them.

A thought on the 12 year old is to get her one of those pin trading laniards, I think you can get them in advance at the disney store. It usually comes duplicates of pins so the kids can keep one and trade one. My daughter loves this. When we started she was even trading with people on the bus, but the cast members do it also.

They do have some nice things that can be delivered to their room (I think thru the Disney Florist) but I think these are real expensive. My sister-in-law ordered a bag with all types of snacks that was delivered to our room the day we arrived the first time we went and that was real special also.

Hope you all have a magical time.
